OBJECTIVE:

Continue my growth in QA and software testing on mobile and gaming platforms, as well as website bug testing, front and back end. Use my current experience in QA to be a part of the mobile app/game development process from start to finish.

SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE:

•Quality assurance testing mobile applications on iOS, Android, Windows Phone. Website testing functionality, both front and back end, including UI and UX discrepancies, coding and script conflicts, and payment processing, load and browser issues. Soak testing, end to end testing, and regression testing on iOS and Android apps.

•Bug reporting for web applications, mobile apps (iOS and Android), using Jira and Atlassian products, Bugzilla, Github/Bitbucket.

•Set up of test environments for iOS and Android - Xcode, CLI, Android Studio/SDK, Eclipse, Charles, Firefox Dev edition, Amazon Web Services (AWS) including EC2, S3, and RDS services. Load testing done through AWS.

•Automated website testing using Selenium, Google Webmaster Tools, and Telerik Test Studio. Wrote automated test scripts for Selenium as well as recorded tests. Used Appium for creating tests in Ruby.

•Freelance game beta testing for iOS and Android titles such as Vain Glory and Walking War Robots.

•System administration experience including development and testing server setup and configuration. Network security and administration.

11/2014 - 5/2015 Web QA Tester/Technician (Contractor), Monterey Bay Aquarium

Primary responsibility was QA for the Aquarium mobile apps, Seafood Watch and the MBA app, testing on both iOS/Android devices, in Windows and Mac (Xcode) development environments. Used tools such as Selenium for automated and manual testing. Additional responsibilities include QA for the organization websites. Tested proper functionality, UI and UX, and content, using tools such as Adobe Edge, Appium, and Sitecore. Set up proper development and testing environments in WIndows using VIrtual Box and/or VMWare. Created test scripts for use in Selenium based on Ruby. Document and report issues using Jira, and collating information in Confluence.

04/2012 - 02/2014 Windows System Administrator/Computer Science Teacher, York School

Manage configuration, installation, and maintenance of Windows system workstations and servers. Build and maintain Active Directory server, Exchange 2007 server, Synology file server, and created backup scheme/schedule for all servers. Provide onsite and remote technical support to campus faculty and staff. Implemented the Zendesk ticketing system for trouble ticket management. Planned and coordinated the schools first BYOD network for all student and faculty devices. Created educational technology plan according to student, faculty, and staff needs. Started out as Customer Service with a lateral move into QA testing for Evan-Moor Educational web apps, iOS and Android apps, ebooks, and backend website ordering processes. Used Fogbugz and Github for bug reporting/tracking. I tested Evan-Moor mobile apps on iPhone and iPad, Android based apps on tablets and phones. Also tested Mac/PC based apps from install to interface and backend payment processes. Submitted any necessary changes and bug reports to the Applications Design Director as well as other team members to debug and fix as needed.

09/2010 - 05/2011 Systems Administrator - Contract/Interim, Carmel Unified School District

Employed as System Administrator working between both Tularcitos and Carmel River schools. Maintained school servers including backup and disaster recovery processes, updating software, replacing hardware as needed. Provided on campus technical support for all faculty and staff at both schools. Also maintained hardware and software inventory/ordering for each campus, recycling and reusing hardware when needed.

Covered Help Desk for DLI schools on a weekly basis, used CA Unicenter trouble ticketing system. Assisted in setup and configuration of desktops and lab stations in DLI classrooms. Imaged new desktops, laptops, and tablet devices using Ghost 8.0 for Defense Language Institute schools. Installed and debugged necessary software per each school and related departments. Maintained existing desktops and devices including software issues, re-images, image updates, image creation with sysprep. Tracked warehouse inventory and and equipment requests using WASP Asset Management system and CA Unicenter. Wrote documentation for all imaging procedures and asset management system procedure. Assisted in troubleshooting equipment and system issues.
