Architect lab for the new NGICC 911 software which included Intrado environment as the back-end. Project management met with all contractors for Lab construction electrical, AC/heating etc.

Purchased over 1 Million dollars’ worth of HP DL380 G8, and HA Blade System with C7000 Enclosure with HP Proliant BL420c Gen 8 and installed in NGICC Lab. Installed windows Standard 2008 R2 SP1, Windows Enterprise Edition R2 SP1. Afterwards updated all device drivers using HP SPP 8.0 and then update Microsoft OS with all available KB’s that where pertain to our environment. Setup DNS, Active Directory, create group policies, and create users, groups. Installed all prerequisite for PremierOne and installed PremierOne on all application servers.

Installed SQL Standard 2008 SP1 on DB1 and DB2 servers and create database and also configured NLB for the application servers for performance and redundancy.

Installed Microsoft Hyper-V on the following configuration to create and support 50 Virtual CAD Clients (VM’s) DL380 G8, 256 2 CPU’s 8 Cores each and Gigs of Ram, 6.5 TB of Disk space with Raid 5 configuration.

Promoted both servers to Active Directory and joined them to the forest.

DNS, WINS, DHCP was configured per their request.

The servers where patched with the latest security bulletins and patches. This was an on going project due to its location.

The environment was 24x7 and supporting the servers included monthly patches for vulnerabilities and maintaining Active Directory.

The LAN/WAN is being monitored via UniCenter, SNMP, which generated tickets via Peregrine and where escalated depending on the severity.
