Career Summary

One year of work experience in electrical and electronics industry.

Designed and developed single and three phase servo-controlled voltage stabilizers single- handedly using PIC microcontrollers with programming in embedded C language.

Simulation of SMPS and UPS systems in MATLAB/SIMULINK.

Testing, debugging of online and offline UPS systems.

Project Details:

1) Servo controlled voltage stabilizer

Description : This project includes a servo motor – dimmer set. The servo motor shaft is connected to a toroidal core transformer and is rotated to maintain desired output voltage. The control system is based on analog sensing circuits and control of motor shaft is provided by the use of microcontroller.

Opamp based sensing circuits.

Simulation of control circuit using NI Multisim software.

PIC microcontroller is used to achieve control.

MPLAB IDE is used to write code.

Code is written in embedded C programming language.

Schematic entry in Altium designer software.

2) Hybrid battery charger

Description : The charger consists of two modes :

In solar mode input voltage and current from the panel are converted to required voltage and current for battery charging using microcontroller based charge controller.

In mains mode charger takes universal mains voltage and convert it to voltage suitable for battery charging using flyback topology. Responsibilities :

End to end design and development of products.

Develop understanding of both analog and microcontroller based inverter and smps circuits.

Testing and repair of UPS and SMPS system and simulation for new designs for the same.

Travelling to ups installation site for fault analysis and load calculation. Internship Sep 2014 – Oct 2014
