EDUCATION Viterbi School Engineering, University of Southern California M.S. Electrical Engineering, GPA 3.65/4
Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications (BUPT), China Sep.200 Queen Mary, University of London, United Kingdom
B.S. Telecommunications Engineering (Joint Bachelor Program) COURSES Computer Networks, Operating Systems, Database Management Systems, Analysis of Algorithms, Broadband Networks, Wireless & Mobile Networks SKILLS Programming: C, JAVA, SQL, HTML, XML, VBA
Tools: OPNET, WIRESHARK, MYSQL,ORACLE,ECLIPSE,AWS
Operating Platform: LINUX, UNIX, WINDOWS, ANDROID, TCP/IP Suite PROJECTS VITERBI SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING, UNIVERSITY OF SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA
UNIX SOCKET PROGRAMMING: Simulated an on-Line Auction System in a Client/Server environment using UNIX Sockets in C/C++. Both Streamy (TCP) and Datagram (UDP) Sockets were used.
OPERATING SYSTEMS: Augmented, using C, the functionality of an existing incomplete Operating System “WEENIX” to include Thread Management, Multiprogramming and Complete Virtual File System. Developed, using C, and compiled successfully, a “Doubly-Linked Circular List” for reading and sorting massive transaction records .
DATABASE MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS: Implemented a Database Schema using Oracle SQL Developer. Designed and Implemented (using JDBC), an end-to-end JAVA Application (for small social Networks) allowing users to query Data stored in Relational Database and Spatial Database.
NETWORK SIMULATIONS: Simulated, using OPNET, Local Area Networks such as Ethernet (Both Shared and Switched) and Wireless LAN (IEEE802.11, Wi-Fi) with Distributed and Point Coordination Functions and evaluated the Delay/Throughput of each. Simulated and analyzed several routing protocols including RIP and OSPF.
NETWORK PROTOCOL ANALYSIS: Analyzed, using Wireshark, several Protocols in the TCP/IP suite including DHCP, DNS, HTTP and ICMP.
STATISTICAL MODELING: Created, using Excel with embedded VB Macros, an Erlang B (Blocked Calls dropped) and an Erlang C (Blocked Calls Delayed) Calculators that determine the number of Servers required under given Delay constraints and Grade of Service.
CLOUD APPLICATION: Currently developing a Personalized Destination-finding Application on the AWS cloud .
