President and CEO Precision Certipro, Chantilly, VA Nov. 2003 - April 2004

Accepted challenge of managing company through forbearance agreement with primary lender. Negotiated with vendors and lead lender to determine viability of business entity, and if necessary, perform orderly liquidation, thereby minimizing investors and vendor losses. Determined company could not be saved without excessive cash infusion. Performed orderly liquidation which included the sale of 10 of 21 branch locations. Sold all remaining assets minimizing vendor and bank losses.

Division President, Quaker City Motor Parts, Middletown, DE Nov. 2002 – Oct. 2003

Responsible for MAPI division owned by Quaker City Motor Parts (NAPA). Oversaw and managed transition to NAPA store model, inventory changes and distribution, sales and operations management, and implementing QCMP policies and procedures. Maintained high level of store growth and performance during transition, and communicated directly with CEO regarding branch location closures at locations which conflicted with other QCMP locations.

Responsible for implementing policies and procedures as MAPI division became model for all 2 step distribution locations under the PPG umbrella. Division Vice President responsible for all aspects of store operations. Oversaw transition during acquisition of Mechanics Auto Parts by The Parts Plus Group. Developed guidelines and procedures adopted by all other divisions relating to store operations, fleet maintenance and inventory control.

Responsible for the management of all store locations, distribution center and machine shop. Duties included overseeing store managers, customer service, fleet management of up to 105 vehicles, purchasing and inventory control, and store logistics. During this time the company grew from 5 locations with $9 million annual sales to 14 locations producing over $20 million in annual revenue.

Responsible for all store operations and sales. This location grew in volume from $2 million annual sales to over $4 million annually. Developed and trained management teams which were placed as branch and mid-level managers as company grew.
