SUMMARY OF SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

Combined ** years employment in occupational safety, industrial hygiene, radiation safety, and EHS disciplines on general industry, construction, fossil power, nuclear power, chemical industry and environmental projects.

10 Years occupational safety and industrial hygiene and 15 years health physics / radiation safety as Technician, Supervisor, Radiological Engineer and RSO on US Air Force projects.

I also have experience providing safety support for high voltage transmission, distribution, switch yard and sub-station projects involving both overhead and underground conductor installation as well as 230KV and 500 KV main transformer replacements and tower installations.

Additional experience as certified startup and test engineer including technical, management and supervision in construction, startup, operations, maintenance, demolition and decommissioning.

PSM and nuclear safety analysis experience, efficient manager/ trainer and competent technical writer.

Experience conducting inspections and audits as well as escorting compliance officers during inspections.

Industrial hygiene experience including area sampling and individual personal monitoring along with laboratory analysis, stay time calculation and prescribing appropriate PPE including respiratory protection equipment.

Working knowledge of OSHA, USEPA, USNRC, DOT, DOE, DOD, MSA, NIOSH, API, IEEE, NEC, NFPA, and ASME codes and standards as well as various sampling techniques and laboratory protocols and chain-of-custody requirements.

Extensive regulatory compliance experience including researching applicable codes, standards, regulations and state and locals laws. Accustomed to researching and advising management on regulatory compliance issues.

Expertise with conducting reviews of applicable system descriptions, drawings, specifications and PSM safety evaluations that are necessary to make appropriate EHS related decisions.

Familiar with Microsoft Office including Access and other data bases as well as computer based process control.

My nuclear experience also includes employment as a nuclear plant operator, count room – chemistry technician, and a certified test engineer specializing in the startup and commissioning of radwaste processing systems.

EMPLOYMENT / RECENT

My most resent employment (10/1/2015) was a contract assignment as the project safety manager for a major modification to the plant.

I recently (7 August 2015) completed a 4 month temporary assignment as the Corporate Safety Manager for Acciona Energy North America. Acciona is a multi-national company with global generating facilities.

I worked in the Chicago home office and traveled to sites in the United States and Canada to conduct audits and inspections as well as advise site safety and management on safety issues.

My additional projects included revising corporate policy and procedures to uniformly comply with both Canadian and U.S. statutes, regulations and standards. I also handed daily corporate safety management functions for our North American facilities.

My employment was a temporary 4 month assignment filling in for the corporate manager who was on extended leave of absence.

I have extensive field experience working as a contractor site safety manager and providing safety oversight of contractors for various clients in the power generation industry during construction, major modification and operations.
