Sr. Operations Manager of a $100M operation responsible for the production of military/ commercial aerospace quality composite structures. Working with a staff of 5 direct manager reports and +100 indirect employees. Successfully stabilized our production output while improving FPY, Quality, Safety and OI. Helped to create and support our Lean Initiatives program by refining the 5S program, FOD prevention program, Handling Damage Prevention program. Drove the re-introduction of our Employee Safety Committee and First Responder programs.
Manager, Quick Response Center October 2007-May 2015
Flowserve Corporation, Fluid Controls Division, Springville, UT
Manager responsible for the bookings, sales and deliveries to support domestic and international customers with annual sales +$40M. Provide support to 5 domestic and 6 international service centers. Also managing the EIT Production lines with +$19M in sales. Major accomplishments include improving relations with our network of reps and customers, a 10% improvement on customer call responses and streamlining the order entry process by 20%. On time delivery improved from 81% to 96% during the 2008 to 2011. Spare parts sales grew from $27M in 2009 to $40M in 2011. 2011 also saw a 20% growth in EIT sales and a 55% increase in Logix 3000 sales over 2009.
Manager, Manufacturing Operations January 2003-2007
Flowserve Corporation, Fluid Controls Division, Springville, UT
Manager responsible for the manufacturing operations of a +$120M a year control valve production facility. Areas of responsibility include manufacturing, production planning, manufacturing engineering, receiving, stockroom, shipping, assembly and parts finishing with 155 employees and an annual budget of over $12M. Implemented Focus Factories which aligned the production resources into business units based on product type and size. Each factory is held accountable for inventory, planning, production and product delivery. This resulted in an OTD improvement from 65% to 90% during the first year. Employee earned hour efficiencies increased from 70% to 88%. 2007 sales revenue and operating income exceeded forecast with overtime reduced from 20% to less than 10% DLH. Scrap was reduced 35% due to continuous improvement projects (set up reduction, operator inspection, and 6S activities).
Manager, Missile Systems Assembly and Test 1994-2003
MOOG Inc. Aircraft Group, Montek Operations, Salt Lake City, UT
Manager responsible for the assembly and test of all missile control actuation products including Maverick, Hellfire, TOW, GATS/GAM and AGM-142. Directed the transfer of all missile product lines from BW/IP in California including installation, line set-up and validation. Worked with Government Source Inspectors to complete the line certifications. Facilitated the continuous improvement process using structured work teams resulting in Hellfire first time pass improving from 75% to 95% and overall missile direct labor hours being reduced 20% since moving to Utah.
Manager, Assembly and Test 1991-1994

Manager responsible for $3.5 million in monthly production. Products included missile control actuation systems, commercial and aerospace servo valves, solenoid products and hydraulic/ pneumatic aircraft flight controls. Facilitated the implementation of self directed work teams which resulted in increased employee pride, improved test yields and reduction of rework. Also assisted in the implementation of a company wide TQM/ SPC employee training program.
