As an operator I have varies duties my main duty is to attend my line which is the PIW and Q1 which are both Stations where pipe that is called reworks are worked on to classy as prime pipe. Before bringing any pipe to either station I have to get with the lead for that department to get authorization on which of the varies sizes and grades of reworks of pipe in the yard. After getting authorization I log into SAP inventory system to locate in which rack is the pipe requested by the lead. After they have grinded on the defected pipe I receive paperwork showing the classifications which the pipe became. I then move the pipe to its correct location based on the classification of the pipe which is on the paperwork also make the moves in SAP for inventory to be accurate. I also help with the operation of the main mill which produces pipe once we have loaded the jockey truck with prime pipe its sent around to the yard to be unloaded to its proper location.

I do varies jobs on the plant depending on what line I’m assigned but for the most part I’m on heat treat. Where I load the entry table with the correct size pipe, grade and make sure it’s the correct work order that’s on the sequence. Once it has been heat treated it comes out the exit table where I go and pick up the allowed amount and take it to open and placed there for the next process. When help is needed in other lines I assist them.

Unloaded, picked, staged and loaded products for shipping. Also had to set appointments with the US post office for the printed product to be delivered. Used oracle to print the bill lading for the driver to deliver the product on time. Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of powered industrial trucks, unloading trucks on the receiving dock, moving materials to and from the production area and cleanliness of the warehouse. Properly and safely operate forklifts and ride on powered industrial trucks moving material within and from the warehouse to the production area and returning finished product to the shipping area. Work closely with machine leads and site supervision to manage raw materials to insure continuous production of finished products. Operate a pallet jack or forklift and complete forklift safety training and certification requirements. Communicate using 2-way radio, read work orders and support production machine changeovers. Unload trucks with raw materials and load recycling material on trucks in a safe, timely and cost effective manner. Move all materials with production and locate copy produce in/out report and complete problem material report and complete problem material report. Remove pallet, strapping and packing materials and move recycle materials to recycle area. Maintain facility EH&S and good housekeeping standards as needed.
