Employment History

Macquarie Telecom: July 2013 – July 2015

Human Resources Advisor: I served as HR Business Partner for the Hosting and Customer Service business units

(approximately 50 employees) within one of Australia’s leading publicly-listed technology companies. I have partnered with managers and employees in resource planning, performance enablement, on-boarding, orchestrating transition plans, exits, conflict resolution and identifying high performing talent, as well as creating development plans. Key Achievements include:

Impacted the reduction in attrition in both business units (0% unplanned attrition) by working to understand the cultural needs and career aspirations of individuals. This was achieved through applying quality recruitment practices, and initiating an employee career development and up-skilling training program.

Facilitated the development of creative resourcing solutions with management and, following CFO approval, implemented a framework that allowed past employees to work weekend shifts, successfully removing constraints on full-time employees.

I have also provided company-wide HR coordination support, spanning the complete employee life cycle including employment contracts, onboarding, performance review, transfers, promotions and exits. I was responsible for the analysis of key HR metrics including attrition, recruitment and time to fill/cost of hire (submitted to Board of Directors), and have been heavily involved in the streamlining and automation of interactions between HR and payroll. As a result of exceeding my KPI’s in the HR coordination support function, I was promoted and given additional responsibilities as an HR Generalist. Key Achievements include:

Partnered with the Finance and Payroll department to streamline cross-functional processes and created an employee self-service Sharepoint, reducing delays in promotions, transfers and hiring approvals by up to 4 weeks.

Inducted in to ‘Macquarie Club’ (high performers club) for 2015.

Based on the detailed analysis of attrition (specifically less than 12mth tenure) and employee engagement statistics, I initiated and project managed the restructure of the Macquarie Telecom onboarding program, including induction, manager training and process improvement.

Restructured the HR ‘engagement activities’ program to improve morale and collaboration, and better allocate budget, which received resoundingly positive feedback - including from the CEO. Wesfarmers Industrial & Safety: May 2012 – July 2013 Human Resources Advisor – Learning & Development: Within the Industrial & Safety division of Australia’s 7th largest company (approx. 205,000 employees), I partnered with multiple internal and external stakeholders to drive progress and innovation in their L&D function, with a focus on the timely and relevant enablement of both current and onboarding employees. My primary responsibilities included the management of 5 new training programs attended by 3,000 employees, the management of 3rd party Registered Training Organization relationships, creating and consulting on the caliber and delivery of content (both facilitator led and SumTotal LMS based), managing program logistics and budget and assisting with implementation of improvements as the program evolved. I also developed and implemented the Career Path Planning (internal succession) tool with senior leadership, and led the formation of the division’s first Graduate recruitment and placement program. Key achievements include:

Selected to participate in companywide project team (5 people) that was created to research and deliver recommendations to the Managing Director on internal communication tools.

Successful roll out of market-leading, industry recognized training programs for 3,000 staff – modeled around government incentives and cost-neutral as a result. Ernst & Young: November 2010 – February 2012

Learning & Development Coordinator: Supporting the Assurance business of 1,500 Sydney-based employees, I worked with both technical and HR leaders in managing the L&D program scheduling and logistics, budget and reporting, vendor relationships, SumTotal LMS administration, and program evaluations and recommendations for improvements. As a result of success with the Assurance business I was also appointed to manage a company-wide Senior Consultant training program, delivered to over 500 participants across 3 locations – which, at the time represented the largest ever L&D milestone in Oceania.

LCI Partners: March 2008 – November 2010

HR Coordinator: Generalist HR support for a medium-sized Accounting and Financial Planning firm. This included employee onboarding and exit procedures, performance appraisal processes, recruitment, training and development and payroll administration. I led the instatement of a formal new-hire onboarding program, implemented a probationary review cycle, and renewed the performance appraisal framework to include KPIs for all employees. Education
