(A)WORK EXPERIENCE AND EMPLOYMENT HISTORY :-

FPSO ESPIRITO SANTO (From 24/01/2013 To 09/07/2015) :

My position was Assistant Maintenance Supervisor and I was the immediate subordinate of Engine room supervisor. I was specially responsible and accountable for the operation and maintenance of engine room equipments and process utility systems controlled by the engine room such as Hitachi 80 bar boilers, 11 MW peters and brotherhood turbo alternators, steam and motor driven cargo pumps, Low pressure steam generator, flash type distilling plants, Oily water separator, Instrument air compressors, Diesel alternators, Air conditioning plants, Refrigeration plants, Sewage treatment plant, MDO purifiers, Lube oil purifiers, Fresh water hydrophore, steam driven coffin pumps, multi stage pumps, Hydraulic systems and also for the guidance and familiarization of those under my immediate supervision. My job and responsilibilities are:-

1.Prepare Engine Room and utility systems for start-up.

2.Start and monitor engine room and utility systems.

3.Prepare and shut down engine room and utility systems.

4.Isolate and reinstate engine room and utility system for maintenance.

5.Contribute to control of critical situations and respond to emergency

6.Manage and supervise effectively.

7.Monitor and maintain pollution control measures.

8.Carry out emergency response role.

9.Daily testing boiler chemistry and dosing chemicals as required achieving boiler chemistry in best range.

10.Test and analysis of lubricating oil and cooling water of all engine room machineries.

11.Pumping out bilge holding tank through 15ppm oily water separator.

12.Transferring of marine diesel oil.

13. Receiving fresh water and marine diesel oil through bunker barge.

INDIAN NAVAL SHIP MAINTENANCE AUTHORITY (From 22/05/2007 To 31/03/2009) :

My position was Chief Mechanician . Indian naval ship maintenance authority is a shore base unit where I was a team member of this unit. The role of this unit was to Promulgate Maintenance Operation (MAINTOPS) for Indian naval ship machineries. My role as a team member was as below:

For New Ships:-

1.Receives draft MAINTOPS prepared by ship builder.

2.Refines the MAINTOPS.

3.Sends MAINTOPS to Integrated Headquarters for approval.

4.Promulgate approved MAINTOPS to ships/submarines. (Page 03 of 01)

5.Updates its own database

6.Amendments to existing MAINTOPS.

INDIAN NAVAL SHIP GANGA (From 17/09/2000 To 21/05/2007) :

My position was MECH-3 and MECH-4. I was responsible for:

1.Regular watch on main steam turbine(30000 HP) and Babcock and Wilcox boilers(40bar) as a chief of the watch.

2.Take independent charge of engine control room and operation of main turbine and engine room machineries (including starting, stopping and maneuvering).

3.I was also Maintenance engineer for main turbine and engine room machineries.

4.Take charge of a group of men and maintain discipline among subordinates, alert for security and high morale, planning, organizing and executing various task in service.

5.Responsible for quality control, testing and trails of engine room machineries.

6.Responsible for plant preventive maintenance/repair of all main auxiliary machineries under the charge of chief engineer including logistic planning.

7.Responsible for training, monitoring and making training for subordinates.

INDIAN NAVAL SHIP KRISHNA (From 25/05/1997 To 12/09/1998):

My position was leading Engineering Mechanic. I was responsible for:

1.Regular watch on Babcock and Wilcox boilers(40bar) as an assistant watchkeeper,auxiliary boiler, air conditioning plants, refrigeration plants, diesel alternator, turbo alternator, flash and submerged element distilling plant, servo and high pressures air compressors, turbo and motor driven pumps, lubricating oil and fuel oil purifiers.

2.Repair and maintenance of main turbine (30000 HP), Main Boilers and auxiliary machineries under charge of chief engineer.

3. Maintaining the cleanliness of all machineries compartments and machineries.

4.To prepare and arrange of relevant fueling gears and fuel system efficiently and carry out bunker operation.

5.Act as a team member of fire prevention duties.(use of portable, fixed fire fighting arrangements and maintenance of all types of first aid fire extinguishers)

6.Asst artisan’s work(08 hrs in 24 hrs) in a day ‘s work and round the clock in emergency within and outside main engine/boiler space on all main and aux machineries.

INDIAN NAVAL SHIP VIRAAT (From 18/03/1990 To 24/05/1997) :

My position was Engineering Mechanic. My job and responsibilities were same as mentioned for Leading Engineering Mechanic in the above paragraph but Main turbine was 72000 HP and Admirilty 3 drum Boiler (40 Bar).
