3. IBM Global Services Pvt Ltd. (July 2003 – Jan 2005)
IBM’s network comprises of switches, routers, packetshapers, firewall, etc. The offshore developments are on VPN connectivity with the remote clients over the leased circuits. As a Team Lead – Infrastructure Services Management basically looking after the IBM facilities in eastern India, my main responsibilities involved:

4. Standard Chartered Grindlays Bank Limited (Aug 1999 – June 2003 )
Connecting all the nine branches in Kolkata over leased lines, ISDN and VSAT to the central production router at the H.O. which in turn, connected to the central hub at Chennai. Each connectivity has got a full-proof redundancy with dialup and leased circuits as backups.
Installation and configuration of VOIP connectivity between Grindlays Kolkata and Grindlays Guwahati on CISCO 2601 router.
Implemented ISDN connectivities between branches over WAN.
Implemented Structured Cabling Projects in all branches in Kolkata.
Installation and implementation of NORTEL (Meridian) EPBAX for hotline connectivities over the sprawling Grindlays network.
Configuring and installing IDNX-20 multiplexers and successfully commissioning E1 links for wider bank connectivity. Extensive experience in DOT liaison regarding different circuits.
Successfully led a team of 6-8 engineers for all project implementations and facility management activities in the eastern region.

5. Datacraft RPG, Kolkata (Nov 1998 – July 1999)
Implementation of WAN connectivity at CMERI, Durgapur, including configuring CISCO 2503 router for a VSNL leased line.
Providing network support to ANZ Grindlays Bank as an onsite engineer in Kolkata.
6. TATA – IBM, Kolkata (July 1994 – Nov 1998)
Executed a campus wide networking in IIM, Kolkata which includes IBM RS/6000 Server, IBM PC Servers, IBM PCs, IBM 2210 routers, 8271 Switches, 8224 Hubs and a sprawling fiber network connecting different faculties within the IIM campus and also with other city offices.
Developed and implemented a wide area network in INFAR, Kolkata. The network consists of 4 LANs at different locations in Kolkata with the central database server AS/400 at the H.O. These four locations are connected over the 64 KBps leased lines to an IBM 2210-24E router. A redundant arrangement was also implemented via dialup connections, which ultimately was terminated at the IBM 8235 Dial-In Server at INFAR H.O.
Planning and implementation of WAN in Kolkata University. Five different campuses within the city are connected over leased lines, using high-end routers, to a central library database at Rajabazar Science College. Different faculties within the Rajabazar campus are linked through a fiber network. The main purpose of the project was to enable the user to access online library information from the Central Library CD-ROM database located at College Street campus.
