MAADI NARMER SCHOOL, BRITISH DIVISION AUG 2006 – AUG 2014
Deputy Headmistress
Hired initially as teacher of maths and science of the leading local Primary School, and promoted through several roles with increasing responsibility, culminating in deputy headmistress of the Middle School. Coordinated maths and science national curriculum, then oversaw Cambridge programme for both Key Stages 1 & 2 and Key Stages 2 & 3; devised innovative social skills programme, Life Social Skills (LSS).
Cultivated positive working culture; instrumental to continual improvement in collaborative educational dynamic. Fostered an environment in which all stakeholders had open channels of communication, and the freedom to convey a reflective thinking approach with empathic listening used to solve problems.
Secured accreditation from the Franklin Covey Foundation; identified academic relevance and opportunity to negotiate certification for the Leader in Me program and 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. Acted as point of communication with Foundation, then arranged and completed training for 20 teachers.
Conceived and orchestrated Life Social Skills (LSS) program, based on passion for learning beyond the formal curriculum; areas included presentation, negotiation and problem-solving; incorporated 7 Habits teachings.
