Planned, prepared and served meals and snacks according to prescribed diets. Provided transportation, assistance and companionship. Provided necessary support and assistance for specified medical care in pre- and post-operative situations.

Exhibited compassionate care and comforted her with reassurance and encouragement through end of life.

Licensed through the Episcopal Diocese of Michigan, I have been visiting the sick and dying, comforting patients, supporting their families through transitions and administering the sacrament to shut-ins on a weekly basis.

Establishing trusting relationships and being there at the end of life is a treasured ministry that I truly value.

Accomplishments

I was honored this year to be the keynote speaker at the Ele's Place Volunteer Appreciation dinner. Working with grieving children and volunteering for such a terrific organization was the basis of my talk.

Associate of Arts: Accounting and Executive Secretary Goldey Beacom College, Wilmington, DE -Accounting and Executive Secretary Grief Facilitator Training, communication techniques, group facilitation, listening skills, setting and enforcing limits, understanding grief and the grief process were some of the topics taught. Whitaker Institute, Detroit, MI - Prevention Workshops, Workshops on Safeguarding God's People and Safeguarding God's Children have been required over the years to maintain my certification through the Episcopal Diocese of Michigan. By completing these classes, 1998-2014, I have maintained my LEV and LEM license enabling me to visit and care for the elderly and dying.
