Designed radio components and oversaw all manufacturing activity of development for rugged portable radio line. Supported development, launch of new products and collaborated with development engineering and manufacturing groups to reach desired goals within time specifications. Implemented Six Sigma tools to derive precise tolerance analysis for mechanical assemblies. Designed and conducted testing experiments using statistical tools and techniques to confirm product quality and identified areas for improvements. Designed, developed and tooled plastic injection molded components; injection molded rubber components, machined components and air / water sealing test fixtures, which met design requirements and capabilities and properly assembled into final product. Provided live customer support to maintain radio products and resolve field concerns and failures. Performed engineering analysis, validation testing, scheduling and design modifications.
