July 2008 to June, 2009: Systems Engineer III, AAI Corporation, Hunt Valley, MD. I was responsible as a Systems Engineer for flight test of the Tactical Unmanned Aircraft System (TUAS) Shadow. I reviewed proposals to enhance system capabilities. I improved airframe through rain flight simulation and analysis.*

July, 2006 to December, 2006: Sales Engineer, Advanced Technical Marketing (ATM), Parsippany, NJ. I was responsible for technical sales in a territory covering Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia representing twenty five principle accounts. I set up a functional home office to support this effort.

February 1999 to July, 2006(40 hours/week): Took early retirement as Manager, Electronic Sensors and Systems Sector, Northrop Grumman Corporation, Linthicum, MD. I was responsible as Systems Engineer and administrative and functional manager of the Parts Control Engineering and Reliability Analysis Laboratory groups. I led seven engineers and two administrative employees with the responsibility to provide component part selection guidance to most existing and emerging programs at the BWI site. I also led fourteen engineers at two parts analysis laboratories at the BWI site investigating, analyzing, and reporting part failures from all sector products as well as conducting developmental test programs in support of sector R&D. Led the capital program for my directorate, as well as participated in long range strategic planning, manpower and merit planning.

March 1995 to February 1999(40 hours/week): Parts Control Manager, Electronic Sensors and Systems Division, Northrop Grumman Corporation, Linthicum, MD. I was responsible as functional manager of the electromechanical parts-control engineering and Systems Engineering efforts on various avionics PME programs, including all variants of the F-16 Fire Control Radar and the Longbow Hellfire missile.

May 1987 to March 1995(40 hours/week): Supervisory Engineer, Electronic Systems Group, Westinghouse Electric, Linthicum, MD. I was responsible as administrative and functional supervisor of a support and test engineering group. I led 21 test engineers with the responsibility to support the department’s test equipment product line, including design and upgrades as part of concurrent development programs at the factory site as well as several customer facilities and overseas depots. I operated with autonomy in facility, budget, personnel, technical and cost proposal efforts, and customer management and development.

May 1986 to May 1987(40 hours/week): Supervisory Engineer, Integrated Logistics Support Division, Westinghouse Electric, Hunt Valley, MD. I was responsible as Systems Engineer and administrative and functional supervisor of the Standards Engineering section of the ILSD engineering department. I led a group of 14 engineers and technicians with responsibilities including parts standardization and control, DMS solutions, material and part research, design manuals, cost proposals, and newsletter publication. Established a goal-oriented personal performance management system and improved group morale and esteem within the department.

March 1983 to May 1986(40 hours/week): Senior Engineer, Integrated Logistics Support Division, Westinghouse Electric, Hunt Valley, MD. I was responsible as Product Director and Systems Engineer of support test equipment for various e-o programs-Aquila (Army RPV), VHSIC, and several land-based radar systems. I successfully led the efforts of engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, test, and shipping with direct responsibility for design, cost, and schedule performance. I handled cost and technical proposals within the area of ILS effort. I conducted status meetings on several concurrent jobs, as well as presented status to program management and customer.

October 1978 to March 1983(40 hours/week): From Engineer to Senior Engineer, Integrated Logistics Support Division, Westinghouse Electric, Hunt Valley, MD. I was responsible as project test engineer and Systems Engineer for various factory and customer deliverable support e-o programs, including AWACS and ECM support equipment. My duties included estimates of scope and cost of projects, from design through installation and checkout phases. I functionally supervised 16 test engineers and aides, monitoring designs for cost and technical effectiveness, and performance to schedule. I coordinated patent disclosures, papers, cost reductions, and cost proposals for the design section.
