Computational Chemist, 2001 to 2006
Collaborated with the medicinal chemists and utilized computational modeling to identify molecules that potentially would be candidates for medicine. Performed QSAR (quantitative structure and activity relationship) analysis, and carried out cluster analysis for HTS hits. Developed three-dimensional pharmacophore models and selectivity matrix methods to filter and rank the compound series. Calculated the descriptors to correlate experimental data with the physical attributes of the molecules. Performed Ab-initio calculations to identify electron characteristics of the chemical scaffolds.
Hold one U.S. Patent and contributed significantly to a drug candidate which went into the clinical trial.
