PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Analyst July 2013 – Jan 2015

Level3 Communications (Synergy Services contractor) Broomfield, CO

Working on long term project matching up newly acquired companies and Level3 circuit inventory with vendors and customers, upgrading old circuits, and disconnecting unused circuits to reduce cost expenditures and improve revenue accrual.

Working on team whose role was to update Level3 billing data and circuit inventory to include companies that had been recently acquired. This involved learning and working with the billing and inventory systems of an acquired company to understand their inventory and billing data, then using this knowledge to modify and migrate the data into Level3 billing and inventory databases.

Travelled to both Level3 and vendor data centers to perform physical audits of Level3 property and network connections in support of inventory cleanup project. Work was very detailed oriented, as most network ports were not labeled, necessitating tracing of fiber and network cabling. This task was necessary as inventory data from acquired companies was not always accurate and migrating inaccurate data into Level3 systems would have compounded billing and costs issues.

Handled the quality control of recently migrated data, checking for errors and consistency after migration to ensure new data integrated correctly with Level3's inventory and billing systems.
