Traffic Light System Design August’14 to December‘14

A traffic light control system was designed based on pre-set time periods and the flow of incoming traffic using 8:16 de-multiplexer to add in for lack of digital outputs in IP3416 PLC.

Achieved the working and design of the project by implementation of ladder logic in the simulation of the flow of traffic and the traffic light control system.

Flow and Temperature Measurement August’14 to December’14

Designed a flow measurement tool using IP3416 PLC which could measure the volume of water flown in mL through the flow meter using relay ladder logic.

Design and develop a temperature measurement tool to validate the temperature ranging from 0C to 90C using a thermistor, temperature sensor and IP3416 PLC.

Design and Simulation of a PPM-TH-UWB Physical Layer Communication System August’14 to December’14

PPM-TH-UWB physical layer simulation reference system for a short distance indoor impulse radio communication system is designed using MATLAB for three receiver design schemes, called Ideal RAKE, Selective RAKE and Partial Rake.

A comparative study is made on the performance of the system using the three receiver schemes.

Multiple Input Multiple Output Simulation Study August’13 to December‘13

Worked on a code in MATLAB which employs QPSK and ML detection to simulate a system with one dual polarized transmit and receive antenna.

SNR vs SER is simulated, plotted and observed that demonstrates the effect of polarisation diversity on the performance of spacial multiplexing.

Super capacitors and battery power management for hybrid vehicle applications January’12 to May ‘12

Simulation and verification of power management strategies by using the multi boost and the multi full bridge converter topologies is implemented in Simulink.

Responsible for the study and simulation of multi boost converter strategy.
