Angola LNG/Chevron Mafumeira Sul Project (Chevron)

Consultant: September, 2012 – 2015: Consultant Senior Drilling Engineer

Drilling Engineer for Mafumeira Sul Project that preformed various duties involving drilling technical specifications, casing design, performance drilling, well design and relief well design using EDM-5000 Landmark Software i.e.; Compass, Well Plan, Stress Check and Well Cat. I also was working with the application of HPWBM accompanied with log responses, torque and drag, hydraulics associated with drilling. I did work with deterministic well costs of upcoming production wells with various drilling applications and testing scenarios for generation of AFE’s. I did work with documents required for the different phases of our CPDEP Roadmap (Chevron Processes). Well Control-WellCAP Drilling, Workover & Completions-Supervisor-Surface Only certified 8/16/2013 (Chevron), Drilling Engineering & Well Planning (ETC) certified 12/13/2013 (Chevron).

Consultant: July, 2011 – September 2012: Consultant Drilling Engineer (Occidental Petroleum Corp) (USA)

Performed planning and programming for extended reach horizontal wells in the Bakken and Three Forks formations in North Dakota for Occidental Petroleum. All projects entail drilling horizontal wells engineered specifically for the North Dakota Bakken and Three Forks play. In addition to various drilling and completion engineering assignments, I was responsible to monitor all the OXY wells for directional control. Due to the complexity of drilling the extended lateral intervals, I monitored the operations at site and engineer correctional well path plans as necessary. Schlumberger's high speed PDM if normally utilized for the first 7,500' of lateral, then after a lower speed motor with high torque output is normally utilized for the remaining lateral interval out to 10,000'.

Consultant: May 2009-July 2011: Consultant Drilling Engineer (Chesapeake)

Performed well planning services utilizing the Landmark spread of software for planning and FEED respective drilling 3-D horizontal wells in the Marcellus Shale play of Pennsylvania. Given that I worked the NE/Marcellus/Cleveland/Lower Huron/Chattanooga plays for 3 years prior, my experience became quite extensive with respect to SOBM and WB mud systems, air drilling, UBD, and Pressure Management Drilling applications. My credits include setting the record for rotary steerable Auto-Trak and 3-D PDM pad horizontal drilling applications for lateral wells in the Marcellus shale of Pennsylvania. Previous to working in Pennsylvania, I was involved in drilling several S configuration wells in the Beaumont, Texas area. Most wells were drilled below the AFE and Time vs Depth curve projections.

In addition to Pennsylvania and Texas, Chesapeake assigned me to projects in Oklahoma to conduct PD-Drive services in ultra-deep horizontal wells with TVD’s greater than 15,000 feet. I have a comprehensive understanding of the PD-Drive rotary steerable system and its applications. I am proficiently experienced with rotary steerable systems such as PDrive / AutoTrak / GeoPilot / EZ-Pilot. I have worked extensively with a wide range of PDM motors. I have extensive experience with bit selection and bit performance optimization respective lithology rock strength and geophysical characteristics.

DD/LWD/MWD Field Engineer 1997-May 2009: Halliburton/Sperry Drilling Services. Houston, TX.

I was responsible for directional / horizontal drilling operations utilizing air / synthetic mud drilling mediums for assorted companies drilling the Marcellus / Utica / Cleveland / Lower Huron / Chattanooga formations in the north eastern USA.

From June 2005 to Aug. 2007, planned and supervised horizontal DD work on land in Canada, Texas, Louisiana and Oklahoma using Landmark software programming.

From Sept. 2003 to June 2005, was assigned as Research and Development DD Engineer to work in the field and engineering office to design and test the EZ-Pilot rotary steerable tool.

MWD/LWD from February 1997 – September 2003

Assigned responsibilities that included the acquisition, interpretation of formation evaluation data, well surveying data and surface logging data. Trained new field personnel in GOM, North Slope, Venezuela, Nigeria, North Sea, Azerbaijan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Mexico, Canada and Columbia on Insite application and operation. Trouble shooting of Halliburton’s newly introduced EZ Pilot/LWD and RST tools for all directional rotary steerable applications. Responsible for maintaining and presenting all formation and pressure logs throughout the Chevron Genesis Project.

Accepted temporary assignment as Anaconda Project systems engineer at the Amoco Research site in Catoosa, Oklahoma. Responsibilities included optimization of standard formation evaluation in addition to the testing of R & D tools and newly developed acquisition software. Designed the layout of a new style cabin for use on land jobs. Assisted in the organization of down hole tools and associated equipment for deployment of the Anaconda Lite system to rig sites.

Proficiently experienced with the following service applications and associated software’s: PDM, EZ-Pilot, Geo-Pilot, DGR, DDS, EWR-P4, PWD, ASLD, CTN, BAT Sonic, Geo-Pilot, Geo-Tap, and Acoustic Caliper LWD Tools. Qualified in P4M, Manchester and MPT down-hole telemetries.
