SIGNIFICANT PROJECTS: (cont)

Confidential Client – Manufactured Gas Plant (MGP) Remedial Investigations and Remediation. Management of multiple projects including project planning, budgeting, staffing, and program implementation. Prepared proposals, project schedules, and detailed cost estimates for conducting remedial investigations and remediation at multiple MGP sites in Arizona. Prepared technical bid specifications and subcontracts, prepared applications and obtained applicable permits for investigation and remediation of the MGP sites. Remediation of the sites includes excavation and disposal of soil, subsurface structures, and pipelines impacted by MGP constituents.

Confidential Client - CERCLA Remedial Investigation and Feasibility Study. Management of multiple sites in Arizona of sites located within South Indian Bend Wash and Motorola 52nd Street Superfund Sites. Prepared proposals, workplans, a Health and Safety Plan, implementation plans, quality management plans, and multiple reports as required by Administrative Order on Consent. Supervised field crews, performed soil vapor surveys, collected groundwater and soil vapor samples from dedicated wells, and conducted aquifer tests at the site. Installed, operated, and sampled soil vapor extraction pilot test and remedial system. Supervised a seismic refraction survey that was conducted to map elevated bedrock and evaluated its impact on groundwater flow at the site. Participated in technical meetings with USEPA and ADEQ that focused on the percentage of contribution from the site to the overall impact to soil and groundwater at both sites. Conducted a Remedial Investigation/Feasibility Study (RI/FS) to evaluate the potential remedial options for sites.

BHP Florence - Aquifer Protection Permit Application Preparation. Assisted with the preparation of an Aquifer Protection Permit (APP) for an in-situ mining project located in Florence, Arizona. Supervised drilling crews installing groundwater monitoring wells utilizing both reverse and conventional mud rotary techniques. Conducted numerous step- drawdown and constant rate aquifer tests utilizing multiple wells and well clusters to measure hydrogeological parameters of multiple aquifers. Prepared hydrogeological evaluation of the mine site for the APP application. Prepared multi-million dollar budget for Point of Compliance well installation program.

Confidential Client – Hydrogeological Investigation. Performed fracture trace analysis evaluations to identify potential drilling locations for water wells. Conducted field mapping and supervised drilling crews for delineation of hot water aquifer in Arizona. Conducted step-drawdown aquifer tests to identify hydrogeological parameters at each of the well locations. Conducted water quality testing on each of the test wells. Prepared reports that documented the results of the fracture trace analysis, summarized the geological information at each well site, and presented results of the aquifer tests and water quality testing.

Confidential Clients – Leaking Underground Storage Tanks. Supervised field crews during underground tank removal at multiple sites in Arizona and California. Sites include large chemical plants, manufacturing facilities, municipal facilities, and gas stations. Conducted site investigations including soil vapor, soil and groundwater characterization.
