GE Hitachi Nuclear ERP Implementation is a new implementation and support engagement GE Nuclear Energy is a division of GE Energy with over $1 Billion in annual sales. Products include steam turbines designed for nuclear applications, new and refurbished parts, plant performance software, and instrumentation such as in-core and ex-core sensors, gamma thermometers, probes, and radiation monitors Nuclear implemented a full Oracle e-business suite package focusing on financials, supply chain and projects. GEH business planned to extend the existing nuclear ERP footprint to accommodate the other critical ITO as well as OTR processes of $100 million parts business through the Parts Simplification project (ERP Implementation Phase 1.5). Earlier, the customer interfacing order fulfilment cycle covering the ITO processes was carried out in COMET legacy application, which is inter-connected with existing Oracle Applications modules and other legacy systems like CIIM, e-Matrix etc. As part of this initiative, it replaced COMET with Oracle EBS 11.5.10 offerings in ITO and Order Fulfilment areas with a major objective of reduction of cycle time to become more responsive to customer needs. The ERP applications spread across domains like manufacturing, sourcing, finance and on Oracle apps version 11.5.10.2 and custom applications developed using Oracle D2k, Java which integrates with Oracle ERP modules.
