Good Afternoon,
I am writing with respect to the photography studio manager position with
your company. I would like to express my deep and sincere interest in
pursuing the position.
Formally trained at the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan, I earned a
Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in photography in 2007 while posting a 3.62
cumulative grade point average. It was there that I honed my craft,
learning all aspects of professional photographic production, from initial
concept to final output.
As a student, and subsequently, I have worked as a freelancer in the
photo/video industry in New York City, arguably the mecca of entertainment
and the creative arts. Between my education and professional work, I have
learned various camera and lighting systems, as well as software, including
Adobe Photoshop, Final Cut Pro, and Capture One.
My time in photography has enabled me to become adept at tackling
independent initiatives, as well as thriving within a collaborative work
environment, as per the dictates of the project or position. It is this
adaptability that has contributed to much of my success.
It is with tremendous enthusiasm that I submit my application for this
position and look forward to speaking with you, where we may further
discuss my personal and professional qualifications.
Sincerely,
Luke Walter
