Senior Engineering Specialist
Served as a Subcontract Technical Representative (STR) for Task Based Engineering Subcontracts for obtaining off-site engineering services at the Y-12 National Security Complex. Solicited, awarded, initiated, managed, and closed out procured engineering services.
Provided routine Quality Assurance assessments of subcontractors to verify both administrative and technical contract compliance were also required for the life of each subcontract.
Interfaced with Engineering design, system engineering, facility and nuclear criticality safety engineering, quality engineering, operations, projects and program management, and suppliers.
Initiated specific contacts between site engineering with specific engineering subcontractors to obtain engineering services. Resulted in a cost savings of more than $250K to $350K annually.
Bechtel Jacobs LLC, Oak Ridge, TN 1998 - 2003
Contractor with the Department of Energy (DOE) for the demolition of closed nuclear enrichment facilities at multiple sites in Tennessee, Kentucky, and Ohio.
Senior Engineer
Served as the primary STR (Subcontract Technical Representative) for the multi-site Miscellaneous Engineering Services Subcontract. Also served as an STR for the Molten Salt Reactor Experiment (MSRE) project at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL).
Converted a Jacobs Engineering Services Contract with the Department of Energy to a contract between Bechtel Jacobs, LLC to contract multiple engineering services contractors. This conversion required closing out a $35M contract between Jacobs Engineering and DOE while simultaneously initiating and managing multiple contracts valued at $20M.
Utilized project controls tools (Primavera) to support project control engineering staff for planning, cost estimating, and scheduling engineering services for the demolition of existing East Tennessee Technology Plant (ETTP) facilities.

Supported operations and engineering services for multiple divisions associated with the manufacturing and assembly of weapons components at the Y-12 Security Complex.
Developed and led a site wide cycle time reduction program to eliminate major bottlenecks in the production of nuclear weapons parts. Resulted in the reduced production times from 25% to 50% throughout the manufacturing operations.
