Selected as a member of the Bloom Technology Team in 2003. Bloom was launched as a new concept for Food Lion. One of the initial concepts for Bloom was to bring new technologies to the store to enhance the customer’s experience.

Tasked with bringing some of technology to the store. Over 60 Bloom stores used

these new technologies.

Worked with Business Partners and Management to determine customer needs and expectations.

Worked with vendors and in-house development team to test, customize, install and administer various solutions to meet the business requirements.

Created use cases for testing and validation of software and hardware requirements.

Created documentation and provided training. Created the Support Reference Training Manual.

Worked with developers to insure project dates were met. Reviewed key dates, requirements and issues with solution vendors.

Worked with operating companies to coordinate user acceptance and full system testing. Documented and tracked to completion any project issues until they were resolved.

Coordinated QA testing and implementation of software and hardware. This was done for both in house and for offshore testing.

Worked with store operations to enhance system functionality and increase system usage.

Provide level 3 technical on-call support for various projects and for IBM’s 4690 Point of Sale System for all of Food Lion’s Banner Supermarket chains.

To help develop and market this product further, selected among a group that traveled to California and opened an office in San Diego. It was here the system was developed and finally rolled out.

While in San Diego, completed the IBM Electronic Marketing class to help develop a pilot preferred customer program for a 100+ store grocery chain.
