Manage the implementation of new application for the Traffic Department (programming and advertising schedule). Operating under a PMO structure, managed 8 concurrent projects interacting with various stakeholders (Vendors, IT Architecture, Development and QA Teams, Key Business Users, SMEs and C-Level Executives.

Built Project Deliverables following company methodology including Project Charter, Project Plan, Project Schedule, Project Budget (with weekly updates / monitoring), and Project Change Requests.

Monitored Project progress via MS-Project, managing resource and budget allocation, project updates, weekly and monthly Status Reports (using MS Word and MS Power Point). Managed Issues identification, allocation and resolution as well as Project Risks, identifying, prioritizing and developing mitigation strategies.

Responsible for execution of 5 simultaneous projects for the Global Warranty Program that deployed an extended warranty solution worldwide with a budget in excess of $30 million over 2 years. The Program goal was to deliver a flexible solution capable to reduce the development / launching of new products while respecting the regional differences. Projects were developed under SLDC with a hybrid construction model (Waterfall for Initiation and Analysis), Agile / SCRUM for construction and QA activities).

Integrant of the PMO group, acted in conjunction with 3 Project Managers, building project deliverables in adherence to the PMO Standards. Participated in PMO initiatives to improve existing processes and controls. Among the usual project deliverables developed and practiced negotiation and conflict resolution skills as the company has a heavy Matrix structure and conflicts are resolved by consensus.

Short-term technical initiatives to consolidate multiple project schedules build in MS-Project with the intent of create a summary view for C-level executives. Worked with 5 Project Managers to obtain a uniform schedule model that later was consolidated.

OMINT Health Services – a Health Care provider

Lead a group of IT Developers .Net, SQL Server to build and maintain Web applications such as Medical Accounting, Claims, Reimbursement and Authorization processes. Established a SDLC methodology as well as a project portfolio management based on business criteria and ROI concepts. Managing outsourcing partners including local and Argentinian providers.

Managed a migration Project to Oracle (R11 to R12) encompassing Financial and HR in conjunction with an Oracle Service provider. Implemented Agile / SCRUM methodology for development, providing Training for developers, QA Team and business users, establishing roles, Project Owner, Project Team and acting as Scrum Master. Responsible for sprint planning and review meeting as well as daily stand-up meeting acting as the SCRUM Master.

09/2009 – 02/2011 Senior Consultant

Chartis Insurance Brazil - AIG

Managed a group of Business Analysts and Developers (local and offshore) to rollout an Insurance ERP application (eBao Software). The project was developed in partnership with a major China Software Company covering the full Insurance Life Cycle from Quote to Issuance and from Issuance to Claims.

Major challenge in this project was to capture business requirements and fit them in a packaged solution within a predefined timeframe (18 months) and budget (7 million dollars). The key accomplishment was to deliver the first phase project encompassing all major Property & Casualty products. Used typical waterfall methodology in this project with full SDLC, PMI methodology to build and manage all project phases and deliverables.

10/2007 – 09/2009 – Program Manager / Project Manager

EDS Brazil – CPM Braxis

Managed a project for a major Hedge Funds company located in Amsterdam, Netherlands. As the program manager was responsible for coordinate the work of 7 project managers consolidating program progress, driving issues resolution, tracking and performing risk management. From the communication standpoint was responsible to coordinate two offshore vendors located in various countries. The Program included the development of core applications to replace 3rd party applications bringing savings to the company in an order of $15 million per year.

9/2006 – 9/2007 – Project Manager

Bank of America – Charlotte - NC

Managed a project for enhancing a Supply Chain Management application. The application was provided by a 3rd Party company and developed using Web technologies, Java, J2EE with Oracle as database. The project was developed using full SDLC and Six Sigma methodology. Responsible for a team composed by 2 Business Analysts, 4 developers and 2 QA Analysts. The major accomplishment was to deliver the project within a short time frame. It involved strong negotiations with both business clients and software provider.

1/2006 – 9/2006 Project Manager

NYK Lines – Secaucus - NJ

Developed and implemented a project encompassing a transportation management network that provides end-to-end shipment enabling accurate real time information to connect NYK Lines with their network of partners and customers.

The program was developed under a web, client server platform (Sun, Oracle, J2EE) using multiple geographic resources (software, hardware and human resources) located in Japan, Singapore, UK, and India with both on-site and offshore modalities. Project followed a rigorous methodology based on PMI standards and implemented via a dedicated Project Management Office - PMO.

11/2004 – 12/2005 Manager of Application Development

Transamerica Reinsurance – Charlotte - NC

Managed and implemented a cutting-edge program in the LIFE - Automatic Underwriting with a team of 7 Developers (Java, J2EE, and Oracle) and 3 QA Analysts. Involved with all aspects of multiple and simultaneous project management, people management and development / IT budget management (1.8 million / year). Projects were developed using SCRUM methodologies including creation of sprints, product backlogs and conducting daily stand up meetings as well as scrum pos implementation review meeting.

7/2003 - 11/2004 Project Manager

Miller Brewing Company – Milwaukee - WI

Managed the development and implementation of multiple projects including benefits outsourcing for the HR Department and Microsoft .NET for the IT Department. Implemented SCRUM methodology in the Microsoft .NET rollout project responsible to create a SCRUM backlog and dividing the work in 6 sprints.

3/2000 - 6/2003 Project Manager

Northwestern Mutual Life – Milwaukee - WI

Managed the development and implementation of multiple projects within the Life Group including new front-end application for Annuities (Fixed and Variable) and Term Life Insurance.
