Course Maintenance 2014

I held a variety of duties focused on maintaining course fairways with the objective of keeping the course running smoothly. I had to work around both co-workers and golfers, to keep myself from getting in their way.

My primary task was to re-seed divoted fairways, requiring I put myself in the way of golfers' shots. I thus had to keep awareness of my surroundings, maintain communication with nearby golfers so as to stay out of their way, while also completing my task as quickly and efficiently as possible

I had a variety of lesser duties, including tee-maintenance, cleaning course washrooms (including restocking toiletries), emptying garbage cans, and keeping count of thrown away drink cans

Public Outreach Toronto, On

Canvasser 2015

At Public Outreach I worked as a door-to-door canvasser, promoting charities such as CAMH and the Canadian Diabetes Association, signing people up for monthly donations.

Before beginning canvassing, my team and I would perform tasks and play games to fuel our charisma. Every day we would focus on a different task, such as how to address peoples' concerns, or how to match body language. My responses were consistently commended for being fun and logical

In canvassing, I was able to efficiently build rapport and conversation. Among people I did not know, I was regularly applauded for being amazing at promoting my charity and holding a strong conversation with complete strangers
