Duties and responsibilities:
Receives, records and prepares samples for testing
handles samples and performs testing/analysis on water, wastewater metal analysis (Cd, Zn, Pb, Ni, Co, Sn, Na, Mn, Fe,Cr) bulk laterite (mining samples) according to procedures and test methods.
responsible for method validation and development to all test methods.
prepares and maintains required documentation on instruments assigned AAS and XRF
responsible in timely scheduling and monitoring of AAS and XRF preventive maintenance and calibration.
maintain a clean and orderly working laboratory environment at all times
prepares reagents, solutions and standardize them accordingly.
informs correction of non-conformance and potential non-conformances to Section Head.
handles proper storage of all hazardous waste generated after analysis.
updates control charts on assigned parameters.
performs duties assigned by the Deputy/Section Head
