Work Experience
Sr. Software Engineer at Samsung, Mobile lab2 (March 2014 – Present)
Software Engineer at Samsung (May 2012 – March 2014)
Bitmap Drawing Engine project in Android using Skia, an open source 2D graphics library. Designed and
implemented the following features of the project:
1. Multi-layer feature (similar to ArtRage app. multi layering): All functionalities have been added like create,
ordering, lock, visibility, merging, duplicate of a layer etc.
2. Collaborative drawing (Wifi connection and Internet): Multiple devices can draw on individual’s canvas and get
other device’s drawing at the same time. My design and implementation have been accepted and appreciated
by Samsung HQ (Korea). Drawing can be also done over the internet by different users.
3. Trace feature: User can take image for tracing from gallery or by camera.
4. Template feature: Designed and implemented template feature by creating layer with a template bitmap.
5. Implemented color mixing algorithm while drawing that will be used by other drawing tools.
Implemented 12 features (added blinking feature while recording video into a note, video file insertion in a
note, multiple selection of notes, reordering notes with animation etc.) of SNote application available on
Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and Note 4 devices.
Resolved issues of SNote and Samsung tw launcher applications including performance related issues.
Present Investigations
As a core member of drawing engine project, my main responsibilities are to design architecture of this
project and implement features.
Studying on skia and android hwui.
Implemented collaborative drawing over the internet using “Samsung Smart Connectivity”. Now improving
performance of drawing by applying P2P mechanism.
Researching on water color drawing simulation for Bitmap Drawing Engine project.
Generating new ideas and implementing those in Android.
Solving UVA problems in a regular basis.
Additional Experience
Visited Samsung Headquarter in Korea 3 times for researching on latest technologies and developing new
features.

2. Jun 2013 – Jul 2013(1.5 months)
3. Jul 2014 – Aug 2014 (1.5 months).
Worked on Ruby on Rails platform at Nascenia IT for 2 months.
