I was responsible for running the Quality Assurance department in Hasbro’s distribution facility in Chino, CA. Duties included supervising four inspectors, a department lead person and a clerk. I was responsible for assessing the weekly inbound toy shipments for items that were due for inspection. I created the request forms for those items and sent the forms to the warehouse personnel. I maintained a log of those requests to ensure the items were delivered in the correct amounts and in good condition. Supervised the inspectors, lead person and clerk to make sure the inspections were completed in a timely manner and the results communicated to senior management. I also generated forms as needed, took care of ordering all department supplies, and interfaced regularly with the third-party logistics firm that ran our warehouse.

Designed gauges used for inspection of component parts and sub-assemblies. Determined and initiated corrective action regarding defective parts or inadequate designs, especially as they affected the safety and reliability of the finished product and the efficiency of assembly line operations. Maintained an effective working relationship with Marketing, Legal, Design, Tooling, Planning, Quality Conformance, and Assembly. Supervised two technicians.
