I am a seasoned logistics/supply chain professional with over 39 years of experience moving a wide assortment of commodities including power generation equipment, oilfield equipment and project/over dimensional/out of gauge cargo to domestic locations as well as to destinations around the globe. I have been in the role of a shipper of over-dimensional cargo and also in the role of a transportation service provider responsible for the movement of over-dimensional cargo.
I have been responsible for the development of new processes and procedures to increase efficiencies and minimize costs of project supply chain activities in moving goods and materials to destinations around the globe (imports and exports). I have been responsible for the movement of materials by air, land (truck and rail, domestic and international) and by sea (barge and ocean vessel). I have experience selecting land based carriers (domestic and international), ocean carriers, freight forwarders, brokers and 3 rd party logistics providers as well as establishing performance criteria and evaluating their performance.
I have experience working within a matrix-style organization and being a member of a global team. I have good communication skills and am capable of establishing positive relationships with customers and suppliers.
