2014-2015 Penn Virginia Oil & Gas

An advisory type role working our Eagle Ford Assets. Responsibilities included assisting the team lead and rest of the completions organization in daily completions operations. Role also consist of:

prepared the completions portion of well operations by preparing the AFE

monitoring and updating cost on a daily basis (as the project(s) are carried out)

directed a large team of field consultants daily for operational and safety efficiency

lead project advisor for our new refrac program and candidate selection process

Production Surveillance: Refrac with well reassembly: Pump deepening/re-install

Joint Venture projects with Devon (Eagle Ford) and Marathon where engineering detailed meetings with the teams were periodically held.

2012-2014 W&T Offshore (West and East Texas Project Areas)

Team lead in a Completions Engineering role for West Texas (Wolfcamp, Cline, Spraberry and Clearfork) and East Texas (James Lime) projects where I designed and/or advised completions for all horizontal well projects within the company. Duties included:

evaluating tenders and preparing AFE's and AFE supplements

evaluating stimulation job options and designing the particular completion design to proceed with (upon interpreting several logs - mud logs, formation imaging logs, triple combo logs, sonic logs, etc.) and production enhancement logs such as sand tracer logs and micro-seismic data

2014 Budget team member

Production optimization: AL selection/upgrade (jet pump, GL, rod pump, ESP, choke management)

Joint Venture projects with Devon (James Lime) and Diamondback LLC where engineering detailed meetings with the teams were periodically held for the Eagle Ford area projects.

2005-2012 BJ Services/Baker Hughes

(2010-2012) “In-House” (at Exxon Mobil) Technical Engineering Advisor for Baker Hughes pressure pumping services land and offshore engineering team. Responsibilities were to provide sound Engineering knowledge to the various drilling teams within Exxon Mobil for land and offshore cementing operations. The position required compliance with API RP 65 Part II and BSSE regulations for all cementing practices offshore. Areas of work operations included: OCSP (Offshore California-Extended Reach Well Cementing of up to 30,000’ MD wells), OCSG (operating in Mobile Bay, South Texas, East Texas and West Texas.

W&T assigned Technical Engineering Advisor. Worked with drilling and completion engineers to design and place well engineered cement slurries in high profile offshore wells with great success. Delivered ground breaking shelf and deep water Gulf of Mexico wells.

(2008-2010) El Paso assigned Technical Engineering Advisor for all technical job design related issues for South Texas (Yegua, Cook Mountain, Wilcox and other formations) Northeast Texas and North Louisiana (Hosston and Cotton Valley formations). Assisted El Paso engineers with cementing, acid and fracturing design by way running several computer simulation including, but not limited to MFrac and Cement hydraulic simulators. Conducted real-time on site fracture diagnostics for several project engineers. Advised optimization of fracture chemicals and loadings by way of fracture fluid optimization testing and break testing.

Region Engineer for Fracturing, Cementing and Acidizing pumping services operating out of Houston, TX (providing engineering consultation to all regions of the U.S as needed for numerous customers). Job responsibility is to be a reliable source for technical information and expertise for customers, including all product and service lines pertaining to the service side of the industry. This position incurred various projects in various regions across the U.S., which greatly expanded my knowledge of completion techniques in the various shale plays (Barnett, Haynesville and Eagle Ford).

(2005-2008) Frac Field Engineer in the Barnett Shale where job duties were to provide QA/QC assurance to the various customers’ pressure pumping jobs. Real-time data acquisition with sound engineering judgment in detecting screen-outs, fracturing out of zone and or into neighboring wells was required. Co-engineered the company’s very first simultaneous and tri-simultaneous fracture treatments in the Barnett Shale and fractured several hundred of wells in my tenure. Instrumental in several companies (Devon, Chief Oil & Gas, Range Resources and others) operational efficiency increase by using zipper frac design process.

2004-2005 Schlumberger

Field Engineer in the Reservoir Evaluation Wireline segment of Schlumberger. Gained technical working knowledge of several tools including: resistivity, gamma ray, neutron and litho-density, CBL and VDL used in customer well evaluation(s).
