My most recent projects
Cloud enablement – Aon compute needs are seasonal and shows a huge surge towards last quarter of the year. With heavy initial investment on Infrastructure and shrinking margins, the challenge to IT was to be innovative and invest strategically following the profit line. The need was to explore options on a flexible and agile compute on demand framework that meets the business requirement. I led the project to evaluate external facing applications against available offerings from key service providers, with guiding principles as agility, security and cost at back of our mind, the project team recommended private managed hosting for PI data specific applications and more open, public cloud for informational apps. One of the very important goals was to operationalize the support of the new service and align existing function and organization processes; the team used SIPOC modeling to map the requirements and come up with newer processes, defined RACI matrix and identified required trainings for various functions. We have successfully completed two years of enrollment on this new model with 30% savings (over 2 years) on capital expenditure on IT Infrastructure, real estate cost and electricity requirement with better uptime and stricter SLAs.
Hadoop implementation – AON owns and traverse petabytes of data to build sophisticated analytical patterns and generate customer reports, the demand was ever growing not only in terms of increasing participants but also data captured for each participant. I lead the project for evaluation of big data systems and laid down a requirement metrics to help guide towards a better product for the organization.

Cadence is a leader in EDA industry providing software solutions for designing Analog, Digital circuits and PCB. The company provides a very rich and competitive environment for its employees nurturing their talents and gives a platform filled with cutting edge technologies and well defined processes.
Server Farm – I manage team of Engineers and Architects running the Compute Server Farm. Compute Environment Architect, responsible for development and runtime environment for the company, which includes defining roadmap for the build platform. To remain in constant touch with vendors is another prime area which I indulge in, this puts me effectively at the outer edge of technology and places IT, as a group at a competitive band of offerings. My job includes presenting IT roadmap to management, understanding business requirements, its trends and projection for the next quarters keeping in mind the holistic picture.
Engineering tools Manager to a team of software developers, writing tools in product validation space which provide cutting edge solution for maintaining product integrity and maximize throughput for a faster time to market. I have also filed a patent application for architecting a new process in Product Validation domain.
