Research Projects
Applied Linear Regression Project (SAS) January 2015 - May 2015
• Used SAS and regression analysis to find the best model of mortality and its factors.
• Got four factors which have significant relationship with mortality by analyzing the graphics, using various variables selection
methods, fitting series models, evaluating statistics, and transforming variables.
Multivariate Analysis Project (SAS) September 2014 - December 2014
• Collected multivariate data set of infants birth weight from online database and processed imperfect data before analysis.
• Generated ANOVA test to compare categorical variables and constructed linear regression model using SAS.
• Reduced data dimensions through principal component analysis and presented how to prevent low infants birth weight by
controlling the key factors from the final regression model.
Database Project (SQL) May 2014 - July 2014
• Designed a database schema using DDL for shopping website to manage inventory, store order history and record user contact
information and loaded up database with simulated data.
• Executed queries and modifications, then generated a conceptual website using PHP to leverage the database search facilities.
Mathematical Modeling Project (EXCEL&MATLAB) January 2011 - May 2011
• Collected actual data of Shanghai Subway schedule by field survey and processed data in MS excel.
• Generated various graphs like histogram plots or box plots using MATLAB and analyzed data based on them.
• Finished a report about how to make subways on time by controlling turnaround time and maintenance restrictions.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Business Analyst Intern - China Merchants Bank, Shanghai, China June 2012 - May 2013
• Designed questionnaires for client surveys and generated reports based on the results to predict the market demand.
• As a project team member, built up a large-sized database for the client deposit and contact information.
• Developed a statistical response model for insurance plans including data collection and model building using SAS.
Data Intern - Intellectual Disabilities Guidance Center, Shanghai, China September 2010 - June 2011
• Instructed intellectual disabilities about fundamental counting and Chinese.
• Coordinated daily teaching activities and administrative affairs.
