Professional Experience
1.Manager Operations
Organisation : Reliance industries limited (Benzene Butadiene Hydrogenation unit)
Period : July 2011 to till date
Benzene Butadiene Hydrogenation unit is downstream plant of Naphtha Cracker plant for producing Benzene, Toluene, Butadiene and it was mainly used for production of LAB, Poly butadiene rubber. In addition to this BBH consists of Propylene recovery unit for production of high grade propylene from Propylene rich LPG which is mainly used for production of Polypropylene Copolymer.
Accountabilities & Accomplishment
Responsible for day to day production planning, shift planning, safe operation of the plant during shift, trouble shooting, bottlenecking & debottlenecking of the units.
Make sure the Standard Operating Procedure/Standard operating conditions are implemented smoothly and safely.
Meet shift production targets.
Performing analysis of daily alarms and taking necessary actions if number of alarms is more.
Preparing & reviewing of standard operating procedures (SOP), Risk Assessments (RA), Environment Management Programs (EMPs).
Involving in mock drills for taking correct and accurate actions at the time of process incidents etc. Prepared Pre incident planning (PIPs) of identified Scenarios.
Preparation of production planning for month and preparation and analysis of monthly variance reports.
Preparation of annual budget for the unit.
Achieve maximum output by monitoring of machine efficiencies and plant performance through various available tools such as aspen process explorer etc... to take corrective action in consultation with Production / Plant Manager/Shift In-charge.
Knowledge of SAP Permit System, (issue of Hot / Cold Work Permit) and Lock Out / Tag Out procedures, Production planning for process industries (PPPI module).
Doing the down time analysis for the production loss monthly.
Initiate proper start up and shut down activities for planned and unplanned shutdowns/startups according to Standard operating procedures (SOP)
Performs risk analysis and plant safety inspections
Adhering very strictly to safety principles avoid process incidents
Ensure safety and industrial hygiene in maintenance and production activities.
Plant PSM team member for PT (Process Technology), MOC (Management of Change)-PSSR (Pre Start up Safety Review), PHA (Process Hazards Analysis) & Audit element.
Initiate, evaluate & follow up of MOC (Management of change) for approval & implementation.
Team member to carry out PHA of MOC, cyclic PHA of the Existing facility.
Working as plant energy co-coordinator since July 2012 till date. Identified the plant KPI’s and EIV’s and monitoring the all EIV’s daily.
2.Process Engineer
Period : July 2010 to July 2011
Accountabilities & Accomplishment
Daily monitoring of process parameters through (IP 21 server) Aspen process explorer, for the smooth running of plant to match with design parameters, if not analyzing and giving required recommendations to achieve better yield.
Conversant with data collection, analysis and reporting. Familiar with Safety Standards, Design & Engineering Practices, Flawless Start-Up, HSE case, HAZOP, ERP etc.
Identification of PSM critical identification elements by studying the plant P&ID
Calculate material and energy balances of the process according to the PFD’s.
Conducting the root cause analysis (RCA) on the premature failures ensuring proper measures to mitigate future failures are taken.
Raised and implemented several MOCs (Management of Change) which not only increased the throughput but also reduced the breakdown of equipment’s & Pre Startup Safety review (PSSR).
Integrity survey for equipments & pipe lines carried out with Corrosion & inspection Team.
3.Field Operation & Panel officer

Trained in Plant Field operation & panel Operation under guidance of production manager.(from Oct-2008 to July-2009.
Taken charge of panel for normal plant operation /shut down-start-up & trouble shooting.
Trained in Fire training/Process Safety training.
Process Hazard analysis done as a team member.
Exposure on SAP PM/MM & e-permit system.

Simulation study of Propane- Propylene splitter using Aspen PlusTM .
Active team member of Sigmafine project which is related to production accounting system.(PAS)
Active member of Operations Management Professional (OM Pro) implementation which includes main activities like alarm configuration manager (ACM), OL (operations logbook), OM (operations monitoring) through OEM (operations envelope manager) and ACM (alarm configuration manager), OI (operations instructions) etc….
Six Sigma project done for increase of percentage saturation of C5 in C5 hydrogenation process.
