PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Park Hyatt New York
Department Head - Operations May 2014 - 2015
Park Hyatt New York (Brand Flagship) is the first five-star luxury hotel to open in a decade in New York. Housed in the One57 skyscraper; the tallest residential building in the western hemisphere, Park Hyatt was a $400 million acquisition for Hyatt Hotels Inc with average room night exceeding over a $1000.
Led a team of 40 managers and associates to successfully execute a highly anticipated opening for the company’s flagship hotel.
Engineered and developed operational policies, procedures, and training manuals for all operation managers and associates.
Negotiated contracts and pricing with vendors to implement a $500K beverage program.
Designed a residential style layout for the bar program budgeted for $3.2M in annual revenues.
Conceptualized and formulated yearly budgets and forecasts during the pre- opening.
Improved staff efficiency and performance for guest satisfaction to 91% in opening year, exceeding company and equity properties expectations by 25%.
Worked alongside a Michelin star Chef during the opening and with other department heads to manage costs and payroll, while ensuring the continuation and enhancement of services.

Corporate Task Force Dec 2014 – Jan 2015
Corporate led task force assembled to assist with and implement standard operating procedures for a 540-rooms luxury hotel opening.
Hired, trained and directed temporary staff for operation execution during pre- opening stages of Food & Beverage Outlets.
Formulated and drafted standard modules and steps of service for new hires in food & beverage/events department.
Assembled and negotiated contracts with food and beverage vendors to setup a procurement system for all operations.
Liaised with Accounting to setup purchasing and receiving standards for the hotel.
Andaz Wall Street
Director of Outlets Dec 2009 – May 2014
Andaz is a boutique and luxury brand concept for the Hyatt Hotels. Andaz Wall Street is the third (now 17) and then flagship to open internationally in December 2009.
Managed and directed operations for a celebrity Chef operated restaurant, a boutique 120 seat Bar, In Room Dining operation (253 rooms), and a seasonal biergarten.
Created procedures to maintain a company wide lowest beverage cost of 17.5%.
Liaised with corporate office to re-conceptualize operations for the restaurant, event spaces, and the beverage operations post hurricane Sandy damage. Andaz Wall Street was severely damaged during the hurricane in 2012 incurring a $5 million revenue loss. Oversaw rebuilding of operations from ground-up post damage and remodeling.
Managed all components of food and beverage operations including financial forecasting, labor relations, training and development and creating procurement procedures for streamlined accounting.
Liaised with local union agents to ensure ownership and employee interests were tended to and negotiated in the best interest of the property.
