Intent: Looking for a position in professional counseling and or addictions counseling. My BS is in Psychology with a subspecialty in Applied Behavioral Analysis. I am presently completing a MS in Addictions Counseling, and Professional Counseling at Grand Canyon University, which is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission
Experience: Over 20 years in direct patient care in neurophysiology out patient and hospital facilities.
Skill: Experienced at documenting patient contact. Experience with direct client care with medical patients, psychiatric patients, Autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, Depression, Developmental disorder, Cerebral palsy, Epilepsy, Dementia and other Cognitive disorders. Applicant is Competent with functions in Microsoft Word, Power Point, and most applications in PCs’ or Apple/ Macintosh. I am a skilled listener, and excellent with written and verbal communication. Can work doing projects or project supervision. I am experienced at obtaining a helpful, and accurate client history and evaluation. July 2013 to present: Working on my Master’s degree in Counseling.
Last position: July 2012 to July 2013: Regional Health Diagnostics: R.EEG.T. Supervisor of technical personnel, and management of clinical and technical EEG, LTM-Video EEG, and Sleep Lab. Perform analysis of Biological or digital EEG data, and wrote Technical Reports for the Neurologist. Clip files and evaluate special LTM EEG file samples and written summary for the Neurologist. Trained junior techs for troubleshooting EEG equipment and patient artifact.Taught clinical recognition of EEG events and how to document/ recognize abnormal tracing activity vs normal variant. Responsible for budget constraints, and ordering supply. Implement and revise Department policy. Enforced strict HIPAA compliance.
