CITI SECURITY AND FUND SERVICES ETL development:

CITI is an American multinational financial services corporation headquartered in Manhattan, Newyork city, United states. The other division of citigroups are citi institutional client group, citi global consumer banking, Citi international personal bank, global wealth management services.

As a team member, I am currently a part of offshore team in a role of Abinitio ETL developer responsible for design, development, testing, deployment of graphs, packages and support for UAT and SIT environment.

As a part of development, We receive the business requirement document from the functional team. After that we need to analyse the functional document, the requirements and identify the technical changes that need to be implemented and we proceed with our development and testing. After implementation of the changes and unit testing, we promote the graph to SIT and then after sign off from SIT team we promote to UAT and then to production. The preproduction document is released and sign off from the user before it is implemented in production.

Description

In MFIC extraction, our process fetches the data from the source, validate it and then process it and generate files which need to be sent to downstream system like FSR, confluence unity. We have EOD extraction which runs once daily and intraday extraction which runs frequently based on the time limit provided by downstream system.

SAUDI TELCOMM ETL MIGRATION AND DEVELOPMENT

As a Team member I was a part of ODS team responsible for the maintenance and migration of the data stage ETL jobs to Abinitio ETL graphs. As a part of 1st phase of development we initially get the updated data stage jobs from the current production environment After getting the required information we proceed for the high level design document including the functionality of the current datastage jobs. Once the High level design documents is finalised we proceed for the low level design document and along with that started the development of Abinitio graphs. After the low level design and coding is completed, the same is being reviewed by the client. Once the low level design and the code get approved we started the unit testing of the code and move the code to SIT environment and then to UAT and production environment

Description

As a team member, I have done ETL development for the migration of VB code to Abinitio for different application of BNP Paribas project. We follow the agile methodology for the development and deployment of code in production. Based on the Functional and technical document given by the Client for a particular application VB team analyse the code and prepares a high level design document based on the VB code. Abinitio team based on that high level design doc prepares a low level design doc of migrating the VB code to Abinitio graph. After the design phase is over the graph build starts and after the unit testing of code is over, the code is deployed in SIT environment and then to UAT and production environment. During development we generally follow OTD (on time delivery) and RFT (right first time).

We started our development based on the design mapping document provided by client which generally have the mapping of different target columns with the source column and their population logic. We generally build the graph and write business rule xfrs based on the transformation logic. After the development is over, the code is deployed in SIT (system integration testing) environment for testing. After SIT, code is deployed in UAT environment after all the fixes finally prepared to be deployed in production environment. We then prepare the deployment plan to deploy the code in production environment on the date agreed with clients. During development we generally follow OTD (on time delivery) and RFT (right first time).

BT WHOLESALE DEVELOPMENT

As a team member, I have done development for the application wholesale calls, 20CN broadband orders and faults. In BT we follow the agile methodology for the development and deployment of code in production. After the design phase is over, we started our development based on the solution design document provided by designer. After the development is over, the code is handed over to SIT(system integration testing) team for testing and in parallel it is handed over to performance team with the performance spreadsheet that records the time taken,volumetrics for each new query and changed query for performance suggestion(if any). After SIT, code is handed over to E2E testing team to test the code in an environment that is similar to production environment. Code that is tested in E2E environment with all the fixes finally prepared to be deployed in live environment. We then prepare the deployment plan and automated scripts to deploy the code in production environment on the date agreed with clients. During development we generally follow OTD (on time delivery) and RFT (right first time).Post deployment we provide production support for 3 months until the transition has been given to Support team.

Description

BBCR Fault reports generally show the status and various attributes of the faults for client analysis. The reports are build using actuate. Reporting is done from MART.

Broadband Asset Reporting reports all the active and inactive service id’s that belongs to a customer so that can get all the related information for all service id’s that belong to that particular customer. Generally 6 csv reports are sent to customer as a part of this reporting.

Broadband Inventory Feed are send to the downstream source for all the active and inactive service id’s that are present in the integration layer in BIP database .So that downstream source can get all the related information to generate the report for client analysis.

Broadband Orders reports generally show the status and attributes of the orders that are being raised until the orders are completed. These reports are build in actuate.
