Manage, direct, and lead a unique, recycling glass materials plant. Responsible for providing 15,000 tons/year of a quality graded and sized glass. This business supports customers in their Green strategies throughout the US. Increased plant output from 120 to 600 tons per week by relocating to a larger facility, expanded product line, hired and trained 18 employees. Personally managed and engineered all aspects of the construction and equipment saving $4 million in cost of the building and total $10 million project. Increased revenue by 40% and manufacturing profit by 50% over a 4 year period. Position reported to the owner of the company.

Maintenance Leader
Direct and lead maintenance organization for a $150MM/year continuous glass fiber process including maintenance supervisor, electrical engineer, and 38 Union maintenance personnel. Controlled $1 million dollar per year repair and replacement budget. Drove department objectives in 5S and Lean Manufacturing, and employee accountability for safe and effective work practices. Initiated a preventive maintenance program, predicting and preventing failures resulting in an increase in OEE of 8%. Position was part of the Leadership team reporting to the plant manager.

Supervised and directed a Union maintenance crew in daily activities. Responsible for the safety of employees and holding them accountable. Drove engagement with safety meetings and daily huddles, and self-directed safety projects. Oversaw all operations, engineering and maintenance of the HVAC systems process water/condenser water, chillers and chilled water systems. Maintained and oversaw a self-contained waste treatment plant to monitor and control water usage.
