I am a top Red Rocks student, obsessive problem-solver, and aspiring back-end magician, soon to graduate with dual associate degrees in web development and programming. I returned to college after gaining nearly a decade of experience in online advertising sales and service.
I'm seeking an entry-level job or the right internship in web development or software engineering. I want to keep coding and applying current skills while furthering my knowledge in the field.

HTML 5 /CSS 3 I like creating simple easy-to-use, attractive, responsive, web design.
JavaScript I'm practiced in working directly with the DOM or with Jquery/JQueryUI/JQueryMobile to develop interactive and responsive sites
PHP I love back end work and have studied creating secure, dynamic web apps.
Python I love python and its many libraries I've used for numeric calculation, data analysis, physical computing, gui development, system interaction, threading, and more.
SQL I'm good with MySql, MS SQL Server & Oracle for database design, integration with web apps or software, and some administration.
Java I've used JavaFx and AWT for GUI design and object oriented programming practice.
C, C++ I've used my C's for exploration of memory managed programming, data structures, search and sort algos, object oriented concepts, and secure coding.
UNIX/Linux I use command line tools for system administration, working on LAMP stacks, debugging, I can add in the utility of bash or Perl scripts, and have some Windows administration/WAMP experience.

Other Skills
Algorithmic Thinking I'm learning to design efficient algorithms. I've done additional class work in data analysis, calculus, cryptography, genomics, GIS, statistics, linear algebra, and other subjects.
Independent Problem Solving I have the ability to analyze a problem, research, experiment, and find a solution.
Graphic Design I have a strong artistic side and am experienced with GIMP, Sketchup models, and some Photoshop.
Marketting Influenced Design I have a lot of experience designing and promoting small business sites, copywriting, making logos, designing promotional and training materials.
Office Suite Expertise From statistical analysis functions and basic VB macro writing in Excel, to Visio project designs, to managing mass HTML email campaigns, I have a range of experience that comes in handy.
Secure Software/Web App coding Through my cybersecurity scholarship I've gained an understanding of secure development practices and penetration testing skills for many web and software vulnerabilities.

Online Advertising Sales, Business Development, and Account Management Positions
I worked at ServiceMagic.com, an online lead generation and website provider for service-industry businesses, as it grew from an independent site with 150 employees to 1500 employees as part of InterActiveCorp (NASDAQ:IACI). During my tenure I sold and managed the lifecycle of accounts ranging from owner-operated businesses to corporations like ADT and Scott's Lawn Care.
I learned a variety of technical skills as needed to best serve my clients and assist sales directors, included HTML 5, CSS 3, JavaScript, working with API's for Google Maps, Facebook and others, XML, Oracle PL/SQL, VBA macros for Excel, PowerPoint, Prezi, Photoshop, GIMP, and more.
