Identified and implemented engineering changes to product file, through Engineering Change Orders.

Created process flow and routings for any new products or variants of current products.

Support NPD prototypes to ensure their smooth transition into manufacturing phase.

Quality incident investigation to identify root causes of bad quality and make process improvements to reduce quality incidents, and improve the Rolling Through Put Yield.

KEY PROJECTS:

Process Improvement of Drill Collar Repair process at Schlumberger

Identified process deficiencies in existing process for collar repairs. Defined requirements and process control plan. Created a new process flow making it lean by eliminating wastage.

- Repair turnaround time reduced by 20% and cost savings of about $250,000 per year.

Quality Improvement Project –Drill collar Assembly at Schlumberger

Project focused on reduction of Outgoing product quality incidents. Assembly process studied and shortcomings were identified. Defined Inspection plan required at Vendor, in-process and outgoing. Added in-process inspection checks in the assembly and trained assemblers on the collar inspection.

- With only 2% increase in cycle time, Quality incidents related to drill collars reduced by 75%.

Six Sigma Green belt

Reduction of Average cycle time of the reconciliation process at University of Oklahoma-Printing services using Value Stream Mapping (VSM) techniques including time studies and control charts.

-The total average cycle time got reduced by 80% with a ROI of 1,357%.

Formula Student-Austria-2011

Powertrain lead of the Formula SAE Team of Amrita School of Engineering. Participated in Formula student event at Spielberg, Austria. Objective was to design and build a formula type open wheeled race car. Designed entire powertrain and manufactured prototypes. Intensive testing on the designs to select most suitable design. Programmed Engine control unit and modifying parameters to maximize output. Designed air-intake nozzle to maximize intake under given conditions.
