Initiated requisition for materials and equipment; authorized purchases from vendors’; maintained adequate inventory of parts, equipment and supplies used in repairing and servicing motorized vehicles.
Determined priority of work orders and their assignment to personnel; planned, organized and scheduled work flow of employees as assigned; advised & assisted assigned personnel and assured timely completion of work.
ACADEMIC PROJECTS
Reduce the knock characteristics of Gasoline turbocharged engine using Mat Lab simulation:
The knock tendency of Gasoline direct injection turbocharged engine is studied out by changing the operating parameters such as spark timing, EGR values & compression ratio.
Optimized the design by downsizing baseline engine from 2.4 L to 2.0 L with the help of Turbocharger.
Found the Knock Limited MBT timing for the downsized engine by changing the inlet pressure & EGR rate or Compression ratio
Study of design and Analysis of Anti-roll bar:
Determine the equivalent stress acting on anti-roll bar so as to compute roll bar stiffness.
Study the effect of geometric variables such as diameter of bar, length of arm, distance between the bushes & type of end fitting bushes with a case study.
Conduct parametric optimization to reduce stress concentration at bends & perform nonlinear Finite Element Analysis on anti-roll bar mounting bushes.
Research and Selection of Alternative Material & Processing Technique to Manufacture Wheel Hub:
A detailed study is carried out to understand the current scenario of materials and manufacturing processes used to produce wheel hub under braking system and to substitute alternative material and manufacturing processing technique which can result in improved performance, weight reduction & cost reduction.
Evaluation of Seating design and sitting comfort.
Identified seat design parameters related to long term discomforting of drivers in Ford Fusion 2013, Toyota Camry 2013 & Honda Accord 2013 model.
Evaluated the parameters by the subjective judgments of drivers based on a questionnaire prepared related to sitting comfort
Suggested ergonomic improvements for the seating parameters to avoid discomforting.
Evaluation of controls and displays in Ford Fusion 2013 Model:
Conducted evaluation on selected controls and displays located on the driver’s side door, the instrument panel, and steering column in Ford Fusion 2013 model.
Suggested ergonomic improvements for the selected controls and displays.
Improving the mechanical properties of Aluminum LM4 using Nano Aluminum Oxide.
Studied the current scenario of Aluminum LM4 material which finds its automotive applications in crank case, gear boxes.
Optimized the proportion of Nano Aluminum oxide to be mixed with Aluminum LM4.
Improved the Mechanical Properties of Aluminum LM4 material such as wear resistance, tensile strength & hardness by the addition of nano particles.
