WORK EXPERIENCE

Nvidia Corporation, Plano, TX (April 2013 - Present)

Customer Release Validation Testing

Leading member of customer release validation test team in USA.

Defined test strategy for verifying modem functionalities on 2G/3G/LTE live NW.

Identified end user use case scenarios to replicate the real life situation.

Created test plan to maximize the possibility of detecting failure scenarios before product

reaching the end user.

Actively participated in modem validation test campaign, produced detailed report, analyzed fail

logs, filed failure report.

Communicated the error with SW and HW development engineers and verified the possible

solutions.

Broadcom Corporation, Irvine, CA (August 2007 – March 2013)

3GPP protocol functional and conformance Testing

Leading member of GCF/PTCRB protocol conformance test team.

Worked on AT&T 10776 carrier acceptance test campaign. Participated in in-house and AT&T

lab testing.

Actively participated in other 3GPP protocol functional test campaign.

Supported test activities in customer lab by analyzing log, reproducing the error and identifying

the root cause.

Mentored junior engineers on 3GPP air-interface and protocol testing.

Work includes planning, execution, log analysis and error reporting.

Texas Instruments, CA (July 2004 – July 2007)

System Performance Testing

Managed a small group of engineers responsible for developing test script in RTD (Anritsu) for

testing GSM/UMTS protocol functionality and performance.

Responsible for system performance, robustness and stress testing of WCDMA UMTS handset.

Involved in collecting performance statistics and making suggestion for

improvement/optimization, comparing and bench marking key performance parameters by

repeated execution of test scenarios. Identified memory leaks, crashes and undesirable

operational states by deliberately putting the DUT in known states repeatedly.

Work includes developing test scenarios, identifying test metrics, developing test specification

and test execution manual, developing test scripts in RTD and TTCN, executing tests in manual

and automated mode, maintaining test bench and test setup .

UMTS Air Interface Protocol Testing

3GPP 34.123 conformance testing on UMTS handset. Used Anritsu PTS, Anite SAT and Racal

6401 systems to execute these tests.

Work includes defining test coverage, planning, execution, TTCN script modification and

maintenance, in-depth debugging and bug reporting.

Regression Testing

Sanity and regression testing of SW releases/upgrades for UMTS handset modem.

Work includes identifying SW quality criteria and meeting them before delivering to customers

and other teams.

Hughes Network Systems, MD (January 2001 – July 2004)

System Design:

High-level system design of time and frequency synchronization technique for satellite based

packet data system.

Participated in writing GMPRS (Geo Mobile Packet Radio Services) air interface document for

synchronization.

System analysis and simulation of signal acquisition in a satellite receiver.

Generated rain fade model of satellite communication systems for several locations for emission

control algorithm verification.

Development:

Part of firmware development team of time and frequency synchronization module for satellite

gateway station. Involved in debugging activities of C and assembly code on ADSP chips.

Integration and Testing:

Test development and reporting at different test and integration phases.

Factory acceptance test, base station end to end integration, pair-wise integration test

System Integration Verification test
