Baptist Health System is a not-for-profit organization owned by the community. It includes six hospitals and over 200 primary care and specialty physician offices. With hundreds of projects on the roadmap for the next few years, the project managers are tasked with leading these initiatives and providing strong support systems in place for the operational support team.
Team Lead Project Manager for complex, multi-disciplinary clinical and infrastructure projects. Responsible for leading the newly-formed Project Management Office toward the goals established to solidify the processes and methodologies adopted by the office.

Project Manager responsible for creating the budget, project plan, charter, as well as managing the issues and communications for the projects on a daily basis. Oversee the testing and training for the pilot site as well as the mass rollouts to the all facilities. Report project status to the home office either in person or through reports. Projects include:
• Meaningful Use Stage 2 Medication Reconciliation – A 63-hospital implementation of the Patient Keeper Medication Reconciliation software interfacing to the Pulse and MedHost applications through Rhapsody interface engine. Prepared GAP analysis for project following CMS requirements for reporting data. Responsible for the management of hardware and software upgrades required for this project at each facility as well as the training delivered to all physicians and nurses.
• Meaningful Use Stage 2 Medication Administration – A 110-hospital implementation of the PatientSafe Solutions application for Medication Administration and collaboration between caregivers. Prepared Gap analysis for project following CMS requirements for reporting data. Responsible for the management of hardware upgrades required at many sites including a wireless network refresh. Responsible for training delivered to all nursing staff.
• Meaningful Use Stage 2 requirement of Logical Observation Identifiers Names and Codes (LOINC) – A 63-hospital implementation of the SoftLab application upgrade to assign LOINC codes to every lab test at each facility. Prepared GAP analysis for project following CMS requirements for reporting data. Responsible for managing the hardware and software upgrades required for the projects as well as the training delivered to all lab managers, lab analysts and LIS managers.
• Acquisition Team – Served as a member of the team assigned to bring the five Integris hospitals in Oklahoma into the Health Management System Information Technology group. Prepared SWOT and gap analysis for each of the five facilities in relation to their Clinical applications as well as CMS reporting requirements. Worked as a liaison between the hospitals and the HMA Home Office to replace/upgrade/sunset applications as needed. Responsible for assisting the hospitals as they adapted to the HMA processes and oversee training on the systems replaced.

Manager of Project Management Office and Operations/Service Desk - Information Technology Department
Williamson Medical Center, a 185-bed hospital fully accredited by The Joint Commission, provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care including emergency services, with credentialed physicians in 53 specialties and sub-specialties. With over 1400 employees, the community-focused hospital offers a wide range of wellness services, screenings and classes.
PMO Manager – Established the Project Management Office with proven PMO Methodology – policies/procedures, processes, guidelines, templates, tools, issue management, decision management, statement of work, and project charters. Currently responsible for leading the implementation of Meditech 6.0 scheduled to go-live June 1, 2012. Meditech 6.0 includes 32 Clinical and Financial modules along with over 30 third-party applications required for the new system. Responsible for successfully hiring, training, and mentoring three project managers. Implemented a portfolio management system, Eclipse, and assisted in developing the WMC Information Technology Steering Committee and Physician Electronic Medical Record Committee. Ensure successful achievement of milestones and successful delivery of projects/program objectives within budget, time, and customer satisfaction. Develop status reports and presentations as needed for hospital administration. Serve as a team member in the development of project marketing and training programs for major project roll-outs.
Operations Manager – Responsible for Operations team and Service Desk which provided technical support for the hospital employees, associated physician offices and vendors using ITIL standards. Coverage consisted of twenty-one hour coverage five days per week utilizing nine direct-report employees. Responsible for the customization of Service Desk software, iET, including service level agreements, technical support, customer satisfaction, and metrics to monitor the support initiative. Developed training program and Frequently Asked Questions documentation on the SharePoint intranet site for hospital computer users. Proposed, established, and implemented IT Operational policies and procedures.
Accomplishments:
• Led the implementation of Meditech 6.0 from the Magic 5.2 platform. This Meditech 6.0 project consisted of 32 modules. Leading the PMO in the upgrade/implementation of over 30 third party applications required by the 6.0 implementation including Dr. First, Accu-Reg, Allscripts, Microsoft Outlook, FormFast, Forward Advantage Find-It, Communication Director, Valco Image Move, Iatric’s MobiLab, Telcor, Security Audit Management, Passport, Single Sign-On, ED Bedside Registration, Krames Patient Education, Meditech Pocket PC, Summit Interfaces, Computrition, Asset Tracking, Environmental Monitoring, GE Centricity, Interqual, LifeNet, ESO Systems, Embla Sleep Lab, SSI, GE Intensive Care Monitoring System, and various other systems.

Responsible for managing and developing the training curriculum for the US Department of Homeland Security Rural Domestic Preparedness Consortium program. Wellmont Health System consists of eight medical centers and ten additional support facilities all certified by The Joint Commission. Led by the flagship hospitals of Bristol Regional Medical Center and Holston Valley Medical Center, the system consists of a total of 1251 beds, houses a Level I trauma center, a digital cardiac catheterization lab, a primary stroke center, da Vinci CyberKnife, and other inpatient and outpatient services.
