PROFESSIONAL SUMMARY

I am an experienced engineer seeking an opportunity that will allow me to demonstrate and apply

my scientific and academic knowledge in a challenging work environment that provides continuous

learning opportunities in which I can further develop and acquire new skills.

EXPERIENCE

Postdoctoral Fellow 2014-Present

Robarts Research Institute, London, Ontario

• Invented and developed a new approach for selective brain cooling (US patent pending)

• Responsible for all aspects of R&D and engineering operations

• Developed a feedback control system for cooling apparatus using CodeVisionAVR/Proteus software

• Investigated safety-related issues in pre- and clinical trials

Advisor: Prof. Ting-Yim Lee

Ph.D. Researcher in Medical Biophysics 2009-2014

Robarts Research Institute / Lawson Health Research Institute

Western University, London, Ontario

• Built and evaluated different prototypes to induce brain cooling, and troubleshoot related issues

• Conducted pre-clinical trials to evaluate the feasibility and efficiency of the prototypes

• Developed a non-invasive optical technique to measure deep brain tissue temperature

Dissertation: "Nasopharyngeal method for selective brain cooling and development of a time-resolved

near-infrared technique to monitor brain temperature and oxidation status during hypothermia"

Advisor: Prof. Ting-Yim Lee

M.Sc. Researcher in Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD) 2007-2009

Complex Flow Systems Research Laboratory

Western University, London, Ontario

• Performed various CFD simulations using spectral method

Dissertation: "Investigating behavior of viscoelastic fluid bounded between corrugated channels"

Advisor: Prof. Jerzy M. Floryan

Piping Engineer 2006-2007

Refinery, I.R.I

• Produced detailed design of piping: isometrics, material take-off (MTO) and details of pipe supports

• Performed stress analysis of piping systems using Caesar II software

• Developed PFD’s, P&ID’s, line lists, preliminary hydraulics and line sizing

• Completed site surveys and cooperated with fabrication shop and field personnel

• Worked as a QA / QC inspector during fabrication of 640 m3 storage tank and welding activities

• Prepared WPS, PQR and WPQR and coordinated with testing agencies for PQR required tests

Job Purpose: Engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of eight different revamping projects

Mechanical Engineer 2005-2006

Petrochemical Gas Power Plant, I.R.I

• Inspected installation of static and rotary equipment of three steam boilers (90 ton/hr)

• Prepared material and technical specifications for installation of static and rotary equipment

• Prepared fabrication drawing for mechanical equipment, piping systems and support structures

• Monitored and generated daily work progress report from a remote site to the head office

Job Purpose: Fabrication, erection and commissioning of three auxiliary boilers
