Project Title: Adhesion of antifouling polymers using Polydopamine as a Sep.2011-Jun.2012 bonding primer
Objective: To determine how the coating conditions of a Polydopamine primer layer affected the adhesion polymers that had anti fouling properties
Worked individually as an undergrad research assistant
Researched submersion adhesion techniques using techniques from literature
Learned how to do different lab techniques such as water contact analysis and the importance of maintaining equipment
Learned how to keep a research lab journal
Learn how to report on weekly process in oral presentations during lab meetings.
Senior Design Title: fixation method for leadless pacemaker fall 2013-May2014
Sponsor: Boston Scientific
Objective: to design and prototype a fixation method of a small cardiac pacing device that was to be implanted in the heart
Worked with a team of 6
Given set of constraints from Boston Sci. designed from nature and life experiences list of 30 ideas
Used preliminary lab data and pugh decision matrix to select top 10 fixations
Used 3d printing and wire prototypes to test top 10 fixations
Designed characterization and testing techniques to test the fixations
Analyzed the data using MATLAB and other various programs
