Fuel blending is a process designed to mix various hazardous wastes and some commercial fuels to meet the specification required by the customer for an incinerator, a cement kiln, or an industrial furnace.
Job duties consist of before and after measurement on any tank I pump to or pump out of. Measurements are taken by measuring the air space in the tanks and using math to calculate how many gallons of product are in the tank, how many were pumped in, and how many were pumped out. Hooking the pump to the correct tank then using a tow motor to carry skids of drum, and totes from designated fuel pad to the pumping station. Keeping track of lot numbers and quantity of drums and totes. Solid or thick material in drums or totes is dumped into designated drums that are then labeled hazardous and then labeled accordingly. Transferring product from one tank to another, hooking up to tanker trucks and filling or emptying them. Occasional dock work such as using tow motor to load or unload truck trailers
