I am looking to use my knowledge of Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, and Business Administration to contribute for a company, for the environment, and the community. My academic background in all these subjects have prepared me to take the next step and that is to get a job in the environmental sector of the economy. Furthermore, my knowledge and my 3 years experience with Chemistry should help me and the company I desire to work for.

EXPERIENCE:
Chemist I Aug 2014-Jun 2015
Nalco Champion, An Ecolab Company
I worked in a cement lab. I performed thickening time tests, UCA tests, compressive strength test, free water tests, fluid loss tests, atmospheric consistometer tests and did research. I was also trained in drilling fluids. I learned how to use a viscometer and lubricitimeter. Furthermore, I was involved with safety. I did risk assessments on the experiments I ran and presented them occasionally to an audience of 40 or more. I performed lab inspections and made sure that everything was in compliance with the company’s standards and OSHA regulations.
Lab Technician Jan 2013-Aug 2014
Lab Support, A Division of On Assignment
I got hired on as a temp employee for Corsitech, which merged with Nalco Champion, An Ecolab Company. I helped build a mining lab, mainly for copper leaching projects. I was also trained by a metallurgical engineer to do copper flotations. I learned to hook up and operate LMI pumps for chemicals. I did manual labor by putting up to 350 lbs of copper ore into ten foot columns. I mixed rock for the copper leaching project by hand and used the instruments to separate the rock by size. I reported the copper content and iron content. Also, I measured the weight, volume, pH, specific gravity, and ORP of the copper sulfate. I made up the solution for the copper leaching solution by hand. Furthermore I cleaned the lab, did inspections, did safety work, and made presentation on the risk of working in a mining lab.
Chemical Lab Technician Sept 2011-July 2012
Aqua Solutions, Inc.
I made chemical solutions up to 4,000L for major oil, gas, and chemical companies. I tested chemicals to see if they had the right pH, if not I made the necessary adjustments. I also tested chemicals to see if they had appropriate ammonia/nitrogen content. I was trained to handle HF, peroxides, and silver nitrate. I calculated chemical contents and calculated weight percentages in batches. I made conductivity batches using KCl. I ran tests that involved density using the densitometer.
