Summary of Experience:

Ten years of combined operations experience in the domestic petroleum industry with the last five years with Oxy. Twenty three years total in the oilfield. Previous work scope duties include supervision all operational phases during exploration and development. Operational expertise in the following environments: West Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma and South Texas.

2005-2010 Contract Drilling Consultant: Newfield, Encore, Nitram Oil and Gas

Most all wells were horizontal wells with H2S Gas

Formations in horizontal wells include Wolfcamp A, B, C and D, Sprayberry and Strawn

Manage all Drill Site related work associated with drilling and / or completion operations to ensure proper, timely and efficient implementation of the drilling and / or completion program.

Coordinate the logistics of all drill site related material, equipment, and personnel utilized in the implementation of the drilling and / or completion program.

Effectively communicate and coordinate with the Drilling Superintendent and Drilling Engineer on progress, problems, solutions, recommendations, and MOC’s (Management of Change) related to well programs, daily drilling operations and procedures.

Measure operational performance against established goals and objectives.

Identify, recommend, and execute on opportunities for continuous improvement

Ensure that an unequaled standard of safety performance is set from leading by example.

Adhere to all policies, procedures, and guidelines associated with Safe Drilling Practices.

Conduct, Lead, and Participate in Daily Pre-Tour Safety Meetings, Pre-job Safety Meetings, JSA’s, drills, accurate and timely Accident / Incident / Near Miss reporting, Accident / Incident investigations, spill reporting, Safe Work Observations, equipment safety inspections, etc.

Lead onsite Emergency Response activities.

Have joint ownership of the Drilling Program with the Drilling Engineer and support the Drilling Engineer with drilling procedures by supplying input from operational concerns and considerations.

Responsible for ensuring that information is accurately captured and transferred to the office staff.

Provide input into well designs / procedure development, Risk Assessment plans, and aid in specs during service provider selections.

Adhere to all regulatory requirements associated with field operations and reporting.

Conduct regular planned general inspections of the rigs including but not limited to pre-spud inspection checklist.

Ensure all required work documentation is correct, up to date and delivered timely and appropriately.

Ensure accurate cost tracking and reporting.

Communicates and coordinates with production and construction personnel for simultaneous operations and other areas of common interest.

Assist in mentoring, training and development of junior personnel as required.

Leads rig site meetings as necessary.

Actively participates in rig selection and evaluation inspections as needed.

Consults with office staff on project plans, operational issues and utilization of appropriate technology.

Leads onsite emergency response activities.

Assists and supports engineers in the office when needed

Participates, along with Drilling Engineer, in developing and revising technical specifications for assigned contracts.

Takes an active role in development and maintenance of Business Unit SOPs.

Participates in Peer reviews and risk assessments in other Business Units.

Recommends improvements to HSE system.

Actively participates in Management of Change.

Proposes Improvements to Department Procedures and Policies.
