Detailed Practising History:

Sr. Resident Medical Officer – SICU / SICU/OT – South City Hospital Pvt Ltd, Karachi, Pakistan (Mar. 2014 to till date)

Responsibilities:

Work for 8 hours daily (8am to 4pm). Duties include to attend weekly meetings, provide immediate and prompt treatment to the patients rushing in the Emergency Department, take complete and detailed history and maintain patients file, diagnose patient’s condition send the lab investigations which are required, conduct referrals, stabilize the patients and if not critical then discharge them and call for follow up visits, and if critical then advice admission in the General ward/SCU/ICU according to need.

Receive patients from the operation theatre for recovery from extubation of ETT tube to regain of full consciousness.

Able to deal with emergencies like acute pulmonary oedema, cardiogenic shock, acute coronary syndrome, acute severe bronchial asthma, acute exacerbation of COPD, upper GIT bleed, acute confusional state, hypertensive emergency, stroke, status epilepticus, hyperkalaemia, cardiac arrhythmia’s etc.

Competency in resuscitation skills and other minor lifesaving procedures.
