MANAGER OF THE PROJECT MANAGEMENT SERVICE DEPARTMENT Oct 2013 - Present Lead and manage the Project Management Services department, supporting the Project Management and Engineering Departments with Estimating, Scheduling, Procurement, Cost Control, Reporting and Document Control, with current focus on the implementation of three major capital projects (300+ MUSD/ea) Main achievements:

Design, creation and implementation of a new tool for cost control and forecast management, with the support and participation of the project controllers.

Appointed as Project Manager for the implementation of a De-bottlenecking project in Ecuador (budget 6 MUSD), which was completed with zero Lost Time Incidents, within budget and schedule, and achieving the expected performance.

Significant improvement of kilns Reliability Factor for all plants in the area of responsibility (from 90.4% average 2009 to 95.6% average 2011).

Average industrial cost reduction above 15% in the last 3 years for all plants

With the support of the plant management team, defined the priorities for the plant in accordance with the Group/Country priorities and leads the operation in accordance with them. Optimized and maintained high plant performance standards: safety, environment, production, cost, quality, skills and customer satisfaction. Developed and maintained the assets: equipment, reserves, organization and image (stakeholders’ relationships). Ensured personnel safety and development. Main achievements:

Achieved 900 days without Lost Time Incidents. Previous best historic record was 200 days.

Increased clinker and cement production by 6%, getting very close to the maximum potential capacity estimated for the plant.

Achieved plant historical record for specific heat consumption and power consumption, ranking Tavernola Plant as one of the best plants in the Lafarge Group for this performance indicators

Secured new contracts for raw material handling, housekeeping, and refractory maintenance with 35% savings vs. previous years.
